A win for Norway against Estonia on Thursday (17:00 GMT) would book their place at the Fifa World Cup finals next summer. They meet at Ullevaal Stadion and the hosts have won all six of their qualifiers to date.

Estonia have won just one of their six and they have lost four of their past five heading into Thursday's clash. Below you will find my Norway vs Estonia predictions, aided by the latest team news and match odds.

Norway vs Estonia Betting Tips

  • Handicap +3 - Norway -3 @ 4/6
  • Price Boost - Erling Haaland to score 3+ goals @ 15/8 9/4

Team News

Norway are missing captain Martin Odegaard again due to a knee injury.

The Arsenal man is set to support his teammates in Oslo and Milan, but fellow midfielders Sverre Nypan and Felix Horn Mhyre have been left out of the squad.

In defence, Genoa defender Leo Ostigard has been recalled after missing last month's camp with a broken rib.

At the top end of the pitch, Jorgen Strand Larsen usually plays as third choice to Erling Haaland and Alexander Sorloth.

Antonio Nusa, Oscar Bobb and Andreas Schjelderup are all contenders to feature alongside them in the final third.

Football Odds

Estonia duo Rauno Sappinen and Mattias Kait have bagged two goals apiece in qualifying, but the latter is currently unavailable due to injury; Gent defender Maksim Paskotsi has also pulled out of this latest squad.

So, captain Karol Mets will need a new centre-back partner, and that partnership will be stationed in front of Arsenal-owned Werder Bremen goalkeeper Karl Hein.

Norway vs Estonia Predicted Lineups

  • Norway: Nyland; Ryerson, Heggem, Ajer, Wolfe; Berg, Berge; Bobb, Sorloth, Nusa; Haaland
  • Estonia: Hein; Schjonning-Larsen, Mets, Kuusk, Saliste; Soomets, Palumets; Yakovlev, Shein, Saarma; Sappinen

Today's Football Fixtures

Norway vs Estonia Odds

Norway are the overwhelming favourites to win this clash at 1/66. Their last two matches have been won by a five-plus margin and they are 11/8 to win with a -4 handicap, which has an implied probability of 42.1%.

The draw is on offer at 22/1, while Estonia are 80/1 to come away with the victory.

Norway vs Estonia Stats

  • Norway have won all six of their qualifiers
  • Four of them were won by at least four goals
  • Erling Haaland (NOR) has scored eight goals in his last two international appearances

Handicap +3 - Norway -3 @ 4/6

At this stage of the campaign, it feels like Norway are not going to let their lead be cut when this is the game that they can get the job done. They've worked so hard up until this point so I cannot see them losing focus this close to the finish line.

They have been far and away the best team in their group and while they did not thrash Estonia the last time they met (1-0 win), I think being back on home soil can spur Norway's attackers to turn in another clinical performance.

In six matches, the hosts have scored 29 goals and I think we will be treated to a few more goals from them in the final two matches. I think they can overcome a hypothetical three-goal deficit on Thursday, so I am covering Norway with a -3 handicap.

Price Boost - Erling Haaland to score 3+ goals @ 15/8 9/4

The one person who can settle the first selection on his own is Norway's leading man, Haaland. The Manchester City striker has been outstanding during this qualifying campaign with 12 goals already.

He needs just four from the last two games to equal Robert Lewandowski's Uefa record of 16 goals in qualifying. I'm backing Haaland to bag a hat-trick here, so this record could be very much up for grabs by the time the contest against Italy rolls around on Sunday.

In the last two qualifiers, Haaland has bagged eight goals, netting five against Moldova and three against Israel. I think he can hit the latter total again at the very least in this big clash with Estonia on Thursday, so I'm a big fan of this Price Boost.
