Matchday three in Group B of Uefa World Cup qualifying sees Kosovo entertain Slovenia at Stadiumi Fadil Vokrri in Pristina. The hosts lost their first game to Switzerland (4-0), but beat Sweden (2-0) last time out at home, while the visitors are winless after following up a home draw to Sweden (2-2) with a loss in Switzerland (3-0).

Below are my Kosovo vs Slovenia predictions, supported by all the latest team news and match odds.

Team News

Edon Zhegrova (Juventus) hasn't played for Kosovo since November 2024, but the 26-year-old is back involved for this month's games against Slovenia and Sweden.

Captain and all-time top goalscorer Vedat Muriqi (Real Mallorca) is among the striker options available to head coach Franco Foda, who has also called up the likes of Arijanet Muric (Sassuolo, on loan from Burnley), Mergim Vojvoda (Como) and Valon Berisha (LASK).

Amir Rrahmani (Napoli), Lumbardh Dellova (CSKA Sofia) and Florent Hadergjonaj (Alanyaspor) are all injured for the Dardanians.

World Cup Odds

Slovenia are missing injured striker Andraz Sporar (Slovan Bratislava) for their October internationals against Kosovo and Switzerland, but national team stalwarts Jan Oblak (Atletico Madrid), Jak Bijol (Leeds United) and Petar Stojanovic (Legia Warsaw), as well as Sandi Lovric (Udinese) and Benjamin Sesko (Manchester United), are all involved.

Kosovo vs Slovenia Predicted Lineups

  • Kosovo: Muric; Gallapeni, Aliti, Krasniqi, Vojvoda; Zhegrova, Muslija, Rexhbecaj, Avdullahu; Rrahmani, Muriqi
  • Slovenia: Oblak; Janza, Bijol, Drkusic, Karnicnik; Lovric, Elsnik, Gnezda Cerin, Stojanovic; Vipotnik, Sesko

Today's Football Fixtures

Kosovo vs Slovenia Odds

Kosovo, priced at 13/10, are handed an implied win probability of 43.5%, while Slovenia are 9/4, or a 30.8% chance, to secure their first win of the qualification campaign, with the draw at 11/5.

Kosovo vs Slovenia Stats

  • Kosovo have won their last six home games
  • Muriqi (KOS) has scored four goals in as many caps this year
  • The Mallorca striker struck the opener in the last H2H (2-1 Slovenia, Nov 2020)

Match Result - Kosovo @ 13/10

Slovenia are yet to win in Group B, albeit they have faced difficult games, at home to Sweden and away to Switzerland.

Their record away from home, including four matches in Germany at Euro 2024, since the start of last year makes for poor reading, with just three wins from 10 games (D5, L2).

Kosovo, meanwhile, have won their last six matches in Pristina, most recently overcoming Sweden, containing the expensive talents of Viktor Gyokeres, Alexander Isak and Anthony Elanga, 2-0 there.

With Zhegrova back in the setup, the hosts look well-equipped to claim three points on Friday.

Anytime Goalscorer - Vedat Muriqi (KOS) @ 13/8

It's always tempting to back Kosovo talisman Muriqi for a goal as he is so prolific in international football, netting 32 times across 62 caps for his country.

The 31-year-old has scored four goals in as many national team appearances this calendar year, finding the target in Kosovo's 2-0 victory over Sweden in Pristina last month.

Muriqi also struck a hat-trick against Iceland in Murcia earlier in 2025, and has already scored four goals in seven La Liga appearances for Mallorca this season, including one against the two biggest Madrid clubs - Real and Atletico.

Slovenia may possess the impressive Oblak between the sticks, but even he hasn't been able to stop Kek's side leaking goals recently, as they have been breached six times across their last three games, including five in two last month.

Muriqi was on the scoresheet when these sides last met in November 2020, opening the scoring in a 2-1 win for Slovenia at Stadion Stozice in Ljubljana.

I fancy the former Fenerbahce and Lazio forward to fire past the Slovenians again on Friday, at a backable 13/8.
