After picking up just a single point from their first three Uefa World Cup qualifiers, the Republic of Ireland's game against Armenia on Tuesday (19:45 BST, Amazon Prime Video) surely falls into the 'must win' category. The visitors, meanwhile, can put themselves in a promising position to finish in the top two by at least avoiding defeat in Dublin.

Below are my Ireland vs Armenia predictions, supported by all the latest team news and match odds, ahead of the action from Aviva Stadium.

Ireland vs Armenia Betting Tips

  • Both Teams To Score - Yes @ 6/5
  • Corner Over/Under - Under 7.5 @ 13/8

Team News

Festy Ebosele (Istanbul Basaksehir) is doubtful of featuring on Tuesday after coming off injured in the 64th minute of last Saturday's 1-0 loss to Portugal in Lisbon. The 23-year-old could be replaced in the starting XI by either Mikey Johnston (West Bromwich Albion) or Kasey McAteer (Ipswich Town).

Josh Cullen (Burnley) will also need to be replaced in the side, as he is suspended due to an accumulation of yellow cards; Will Smallbone (Southampton) appears to be a suitable option in the middle of midfield.

In attack, Troy Parrott (AZ Alkmaar) could displace Evan Ferguson (AS Roma, on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion).

World Cup Odds

As for Armenia, the likes of Lucas Zelarayan (Belgrano), Tigran Barseghyan (Slovan Bratislava) and Ugochuckwi Iwu (Rubin Kazan) should start, as they did in Saturday's 2-0 loss to Hungary in Budapest.

Grant-Leon Ranos (Borussia Monchengladbach) and Artur Serobyan (FC Ararat-Armenia) are options if head coach Yegishe Melikyan decides to make changes.

Ireland vs Armenia Predicted Lineups

  • Ireland: Kelleher; O'Brien, Collins, O'Shea; Coleman, Smallbone, Molumby, Manning; Ogbene, Johnston; Parrott
  • Armenia: Avagyan; Muradyan, Harutyunyan, Piloyan; Hovhannisyan, Iwu, Spertsyan, Tiknizyan; Serobyan, Barseghyan, Zelarayan

Ireland vs Armenia Odds

Ireland, winless in their last five internationals, are 4/9 favourites to triumph on Tuesday, implying a 69.2% probability of success, while Armenia are 15/2, or an 11.8% chance, to win on their travels for the first time since November 2024, when they beat Latvia 2-1 in Riga.

The draw is priced at 7/2, while a repeat of last month's 2-1 scoreline in favour of Armenia is available at 22/1.

Ireland vs Armenia Stats

  • Both sides have scored in ARM's last five away games
  • Four of IRL's last five competitive matches have seen both teams strike
  • Only three corners were awarded in September's H2H (IRL - two, ARM - one)

Both Teams To Score - Yes @ 6/5

Neither Ireland nor Armenia managed to get on the scoresheet last Saturday, as they lost 1-0 to Portugal and 2-0 to Hungary, respectively.

However, there are some more encouraging statistics if you are thinking about backing both teams to find the net in Dublin.

Both sides have scored in Armenia's last five away games, while four of Ireland's last five competitive matches have seen BTTS-Yes land.

The last two head-to-heads, including Armenia's 2-1 victory in Yerevan last month, have also seen both teams score.

Today's Football Fixtures

Ireland and Armenia will both be acutely aware of the importance of Tuesday's game, with the former needing to win, really, and the latter, at the very least, looking to avoid defeat, so we should be in for some entertainment at the Aviva.

The Boys in Green have conceded in all three home matches this calendar year, even to Bulgaria (2-1) in the second leg of their Uefa Nations League play-off tie, while Armenia have scored in five of their last six away outings, so BTTS-Yes looks like an attractive option here at 6/5.

Corner Over/Under - Under 7.5 @ 13/8

Like the first tip, under 7.5 corners was a winning selection when these sides met at the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium last month, with Ireland accounting for two-thirds (two) of the three corner count.

Ireland won four corners in their first home qualifier against Hungary, but their opponents only managed one, and Heimir Hallgrimsson's side failed to claim even one against Portugal last weekend.

Armenia, meanwhile, have only taken four corners across their three games in Group F.
