England World Cup Odds: Prices on England to win it and Kane and Jude to shine

England are eyeing up a World Cup quarter-final affair with Norway and their all-too familiar centre forward. We are the Believers, even if a statuesque striking phenom like Erling Haaland can have you questioning that belief just a little.
But if you are a dyed-in-the-wool Three Lions fan, you’re only thinking about one thing. Namely, big Hazza Kane lifting that gold globe above his head on 19 July. So to get you in the mood, here are a range of England World Cup odds including the price on us to win the whole bloody thing.
Top Goalscorer - Harry Kane @ 15/2
Cometh the hour, cometh the captain. After a shaky start missing an eventually-retaken penalty against Croatia, Kane has provided the jolt England have needed in key moments to make it to the last eight.
Those of us who grew up with the misfiring Golden Generation, seeing England’s most venerated player actually performing during a major tournament is an unusually thrilling sight.Â
At 32, he’s got an absolute maximum of one more of these tournaments left and the Bayern Munich man seems determined to make the most of it.
His six goals see him fourth in the race for the Golden Boot. Quarter-final opponent Haaland is above him along with France forward Kylian Mbappe, both on seven. The seemingly-evergreen Lionel Messi’s eight goals have him leading the charge as it stands.Â
Golden Ball Winner - Jude Bellingham @ 9/1
Harry is arguably in the running for this too, but I’m highlighting the other Three Lions star with a genuine claim to being our best player. The Real Madrid midfielder has been sensational, with a brace against Mexico silencing the boisterous Azteca.
Jude has a tendency to get a little wound up by opponents, so hopefully Thomas Tuchel is showing him D-Beck booting Diego Simeone on repeat as a warning.
But Bellingham’s competitive character is more of a help than a hindrance. Couple that with bravery, attacking nous, tactical intelligence and an eye for goal and you’ve got a player in the argument for the tournament’s finest performer.
England to reach the final @ 6/4
Gareth Southgate somehow still divides opinion among the England fanbase, despite taking us to more finals than every other Three Lions boss combined. But if Tommy Tuchel wants to get one over on his predecessor, reaching a World Cup final was a step too far for dear Gareth.
England are level with Spain as 6/4 punts. La Roja were pre-tournament favourites, but France’s relentlessness and Argentina’s Messi-ness see us and the Spaniards joint-third in the market.
England to win the World Cup @ 5/1
The World Cup is a bit like Eurovision for England. We played a part in its creation, we won it bloody ages ago and no matter how good a delegation we send, we have never won the bastard since.
But We are, after all, The Believers. What if Kane keeps banging the goals in? What if Jude continues to cover every blade? What if we get the Jordan Pickford that pulled off wonder-saves against Mexico instead of the one who moved like he’d wet himself in the group stage? What if we find a right back capable of playing that position and not getting injured or sent off?
If you Believe like we Believe, then 5/1 is your price on England ending the 60 years of hurt. After all, 64 doesn’t really fit the song does it?
Odds correct at time of publishing.
