Team news

Samuel Kotto and Junior Tchamadeu have not been included in the 27-man Cameroon squad but the familiar figure of Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana, who is on loan at Trabzonspor, will be between the posts.

Newcastle forward Yoane Wissa is out for Congo with a knee injury, while Dimitry Bertaud, Dylan Batubinsika, Grady Diangana, Jackson Muleka and Afimico Pululu are also missing.

Cameroon vs DR Congo Odds

Cameroon are 11/8 favourites to come out on top in 90 minutes while Congo can be backed at 23/10. The draw is available at 9/5.

Punters can get 2/1 that there will be over 2.5 goals in the game while 5/4 is the price for both teams to score.

Cameroon have lost just one of their 10 World Cup qualifiers, but a 1-0 defeat to Cape Verde and disappointing draws against Eswatini and Angola mean they will have to book their ticket to the USA, Canada and Mexico the hard way.

However, they should be confident they can get past DR Congo, having conceded just three goals in their last eight games.

The only time they were breached in their last six qualifiers, other than Cape Verde's winner, was a late consolation for Libya when the Indomitable Lions were already 3-0 up and it just looks like they have the upper hand on DR Congo, who stand between them and a place in a final showdown with the winners of the game between Nigeria and Gabon.

DR Congo were beaten at home in the last few months by both Senegal and Morocco, conceding three on each occasion, and they could find another one of Africa's footballing powerhouses too strong in Rabat on Thursday.
