Belgium vs Liechtenstein: Red Devils can give Liechtenstein hell

Belgium need to avoid a 66/1 Liechtenstein shock to book their place at next year’s World Cup with a draw or victory enough for the Red Devils to secure top spot in their qualifying group.
Rudi Garcia’s men were held to a 1-1 draw in Kazakhstan on Saturday, but the Red Devils have enough points on the board to hold off Wales and North Macedonia who meet on Tuesday. Read on for my Belgium vs Liechtenstein predictions...

Team News
Belgium's first-choice keeper, Thibaut Courtois, has been ruled out, but the Red Devils are boosted by the return from suspension of Thomas Meunier.
Nottingham Forest's Matz Sels is set to start in goal, while Aston Villa's Youri Tielemans could be recalled.
Liechtenstein defender Jens Hofer is available again following a ban, but the injuries are mounting up for head coach Konrad Funfstuck. Emanuel Zund and Fabio Luque-Notaro picked up injuries against Wales on Saturday and are unlikely to play.
Belgium are 1/500 to pick up a home victory, and anything but success would be unthinkable for the Red Devils. Liechtenstein are 66/1 and it’s the same price about the draw.
The over 5.5 goals is priced at 8/11, while both teams to score is available at 4/1.
Belgium vs Liechtenstein Stats
- BEL won the reverse fixture 6-0
- LIE have conceded 24 goals in seven qualifiers
- Vanaken (BEL) scored in Saturday's 1-1 draw
Over 5.5 goals @ 8/11
Belgium need only a draw to secure their place at next year’s World Cup, but the Red Devils are expected to go through the gears against lowly Liechtenstein.
Garcia’s side have scored 22 goals in their seven qualification contests so far, and that includes a 6-0 hammering of Liechtenstein at the Rheinpark Stadion.
The Red Devils were held to a 1-1 draw in Kazakhstan on Saturday, but Belgium took 20 shots, struck 12 corners, and recorded 73% possession in a dominant display.
Liechtenstein have shipped 24 goals in their seven qualification matches, and it’s difficult to see the Blue and Reds offering much resistance. Play over 5.5 goals in what should be a celebratory victory for Garcia’s men.

Hans Vanaken to score first @ 11/2
There is no shortage of Belgian forwards to consider in the first goalscorer market, but Hans Vanaken could be the best of the bunch.
The Club Brugge man was on target in the Red Devils’ 1-1 draw with Kazakhstan, and that’s no surprise, looking at the shot data from the long trip east.
Vanaken took seven efforts on goal, with three of those strikes hitting the target, and that number could well increase against a poor Liechtenstein.
At 11/2, the Club Brugge man rates a value bet to open the scoring.
