Red Bull Salzburg and Real Madrid will both be hoping to secure their places in the knockout stages of the Fifa Club World Cup, when the sides meet in the early hours of Friday morning (02:00 BST, stream live on Betfred.com) at Lincoln Financial Field.

Both sides sit level on four points in Group H, so it's all to play for although Los Blancos have a slight advantage thanks to a superior goal difference. Read on for my Red Bull Salzburg vs Real Madrid predictions, as well as the latest team news and match odds.

Team News

RB Salzburg midfielder Takumu Kawamura suffered a knee injury in training prior to the stalemate with Al-Hilal, and looks to be facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Moussa Yeo and Alexander Schlager are both also sidelined for the Austrian side, but Maurits Kjaergaard will hope to feature once again after making his first appearance in eight months off the bench last time out.

Red Bull Salzburg vs Real Madrid Stats

  • Both teams have scored in nine of Salzburg's last 11 outings
  • Real Madrid were ahead at the break in four of their last six La Liga matches

As for Real Madrid, the likes of Dani Carvajal, David Alaba, Eder Militao, Eduardo Camavinga, Ferland Mendy and Endrick are absent with injuries, while Raul Asensio is suspended after being sent off against Pachuca on Sunday.

New signings Dean Huijsen and Trent Alexander-Arnold will hope to retain their places in defence, however Kylian Mbappe has been left out of the squad for Friday's contest, despite returning to training following illness.

Red Bull Salzburg vs Real Madrid Odds

Los Blancos are 3/10 favourites for the game, giving them an implied win probability of 76.9%, while Salzburg are 17/2 to claim all three points.

The draw can be backed at 5/1, while Gonzalo Garcia currently leads the anytime goalscorer market at 19/20.

Real Madrid to win and both teams to score @ 13/10

Real Madrid fans must have feared the worst after Asensio was given his marching orders early on against Pachuca last time out, especially after sharing the spoils in their opening encounter with Al Hilal.

Xabi Alonso will be hoping that performance will act as a springboard for further success, especially given that a last-16 tie against either Juventus or Manchester City looks likely.

Salzburg are in a difficult position as we enter the final set of group games, as they are second in the group ahead of this clash but a defeat here would see them drop down to third if Al Hilal beat Pachuca.

And while a draw would be a good result in isolation, that would leave Salzburg in danger of missing out on the top two on goal difference. Madrid have conceded in both of their matches at the Club World Cup and have looked far from assured defensively so I fancy both teams to score on Friday.

However, Alonso's side will be looking to grow into the competition and I fully expect them to claim all three points here.

Jude Bellingham to score anytime @ 6/4 2/1

Jude Bellingham was the star of the show in Madrid's triumph over Pachuca on matchday two.

The England international opened the scoring, and has demonstrated his knack to grab the game by the scruff of its neck time and time again since joining the Spanish giants.

The former Borussia Dortmund man will be hoping to do the same again here and get on the scoresheet for the second straight game.
