Salford vs Swindon Prediction: Town set for more Ammies angst

League 2 high-fliers Salford City and Swindon Town clash in the one outstanding third-round tie in the FA Cup at Moor Lane on Tuesday (19:45 GMT), and the prize could not be bigger.
A fourth-round trip to Manchester City awaits the winner of this all-tier three shootout between two teams who will happily put promotion ambitions to one side given that incentive. Below are my Salford vs Swindon predictions, supported by all the latest team news and match odds.

Team News
Midfielder Osama Ashley is close to a return for the Ammies following a three-month lay-off.
Defender Ade Olowu, however, has yet to recover from the injury sustained in the 2-1 win at Barrow and joins the likes of Michael Rose and Jay Bird in the treatment room.
Swindon are still trying to figure out how to replace Finlay Munroe, recalled last week by Aston Villa, though highly-regarded Sunderland academy graduate Ben Middlemas could make his debut.
Salford vs Swindon Predicted Lineups
- Salford: Young; Turton, Cooper, Garbutt; Mnoga, Cesay, Grant, Butcher, N'Mai; Borini, Udoh
- Swindon: Ripley; Wright, Tafazolli, Mabete; McGregor, Kilkenny, Nichols, Oldaker; Oldaker; Drinan, Palmer
There is nothing between them in the League 2 table, but it is easy to see why Salford are 11/10 shots and City 23/10.
After all, the sides only met on Saturday, with Salford winning 3-2 for league points. That is twice this season the Ammies have beaten Ian Holloway's men 3-2; a third 3-2 correct score to Salford is 20/1.
Salford vs Swindon Stats
- SAL have won both L2 H2Hs this season by a 3-2 scoreline
- SWI took six corners in Saturday's defeat to SAL
Salford to win @ 11/10
Karl Robinson could not have been more pleased after seeing his side win 3-2 at Swindon in the league on Saturday, and his team should be fancied to go back-to-back in the FA Cup.
The prize of a trip to Man City in round four is on offer, and that alone should be enough to get a tune out of Swindon, who were described as "abysmal" by boss Ian Holloway after the weekend defeat.
It was certainly a masterly tactical effort from Robinson, whose City side were beating Swindon for the second time this term.
That's six wins and two draws in their last eight to vault into the top four, just goal difference behind Swindon, who in turn have won eight of their last 11.
Swindon have produced a quartet of cup wins this season over League 1 sides, so clearly thrive in the air of a knockout occasion.
This is a free hit for both, with the prize in store a massive one, but you cannot argue with Salford's current run and certainly not the fact that they have already got the measure of Town twice this season.

Over 5.5 Swindon corners @ 2/1
Salford boss Robinson, speaking after Saturday's 3-2 win at Swindon, said he fully expects this renewal to be a no-holds-barred affair between two teams with nothing to lose.
To that end, expect plenty of endeavour, plenty of chances and plenty of corners, which is a common currency with Swindon anyway.
The Robins chalked up 10 when they lost 3-2 at Salford in their League 2 showdown at Moor Lane in September and another six in defeat to the same side on Saturday.
They average over five away corners in the league, so take them to register at least six on Tuesday evening.
