Everton and Luton Town will put their Premier League campaigns on hold for the time being, as the sides meet at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon (15:00) for an FA Cup fourth-round clash.

The two teams, who are separated by just one point and one place in the Premier League table, required replays to progress from their FA Cup third-round ties, as the Toffees edged past Crystal Palace, while Luton beat League One side Bolton Wanderers.

Everton vs Luton Prediction

  • Both teams to score (90 mins) @ 10/11
  • Over 42.5 booking points (90 mins) @ 11/8

Team News

This game is expected to come too quickly for Seamus Coleman and Ashley Young, who both continue to recover from injury, while Andre Gomes will be unavailable here after picking up a calf problem in the win over Crystal Palace.

Abdoulaye Doucoure and Dele Alli both remain sidelined with respective hamstring and groin problems, and Idrissa Gueye is away on international duty with Senegal at the Africa Cup of Nations.

As for the Hatters, Tom Lockyer, Marvelous Nakamba and Mads Anderson all remain unavailable, while Issa Kabore is away at AFCON.

Match Odds

Due to this being a cup tie, 90-minute betting will apply.

Everton are favourites for the game at 1/2, the draw is 16/5 and Luton are 11/2 to win the game.

Both teams to score (90 mins) @ 10/11

There were goals at both ends when these teams met at Goodison Park in the league in September, as Luton claimed a 2-1 win, and both sides are in decent scoring form.

This bet has landed in eight of Luton’s last 10 games, while Everton have scored in five of their last six home games so backing both teams to get on the scoresheet looks to be a reasonable pick.

Both teams will probably view this game as a chance to deal a psychological blow to a key rival even if it doesn't have any bearing on the league, as there is just one point and place between them in the Premier League table, and both sides will be keen to make their mark offensively.

Both teams to score at 10-11

Over 42.5 booking points (90 mins) @ 11/8

I've opted for the cards market for my second pick, as they seem to rack up when Everton are playing.

There have been five or more bookings in five of Everton’s last six games, and there were three cautions in Luton's third-round encounter with Bolton.

In front of a rowdy Goodison Park crowd, I can see the referee handing out multiple cards on Saturday.

Over 42.5 booking points at 11-8
