Everton welcome Arsenal to Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon (16:30) as the Toffees seek to win their first match of the season.

Before the international break, Sean Dyche’s side won their first point of the campaign with a 2-2 draw against Sheffield United, while Arsenal ran out 3-1 winners at home to Manchester United.

The Gunners will be looking to continue their unbeaten start this weekend, picking up 10 points out of a possible 12 so far.

Everton vs Arsenal Prediction

  • Arsenal to win and both teams to score @ 15/8
  • Beto to score anytime @ 3/1

Team News

Seamus Coleman and Dele Alli both remain on the treatment table, while Jarrad Branthwaite withdrew from England U21 duty this month but is expected to be fit in time for the visit of the Gunners.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Andre Gomes, Lewis Dobbin, Jack Harrison and Michael Keane are all currently nursing their own respective injuries but could be fit enough to feature at some point.

As for Arsenal, only Thomas Partey and Jurrien Timber are out of contention, so we could see a lineup similar to the one fielded against Manchester United before the international break.

Arsenal to win and both teams to score @ 15/8

As mentioned above, the Gunners are currently unbeaten and I believe they will continue that streak here.

Everton have perhaps been unlucky not to have more points than they currently do, but I think Arsenal’s attacking quality will be too much to handle for Dyche’s men.

However, Arsenal have kept just one clean sheet all season and Everton have netted four goals in their last two outings, so I fancy both teams to find the back of the net but ultimately, the three points will be heading back to North London.

Beto to score anytime @ 3/1

It’s very early days in his Everton career, but I like what I see from Beto.

The summer signing opened his Toffees account in the 2-1 Carabao Cup victory over Doncaster Rovers, and since then he has proven he can be a handful for defences with his pace and presence up front.

The Portuguese striker had four shots in the draw with Sheffield United and at 3/1, I like the price of him to score anytime on Sunday.

Betfred will be Top Price or joint-Top Price on Arsenal to beat Everton with selected bookmakers using oddschecker.com for the comparison (available from 09:30am Sunday).
