Porto vs Stuttgart Prediction: Undav to unsettle the Dragons

Last week's 2-1 home defeat has left VfB Stuttgart with it all to do in the second leg of their Uefa Europa League last-16 tie with FC Porto this Thursday (20:00 GMT, TNT Sports 3). The Portuguese hosts just need to avoid defeat at the Estadio do Dragao to book their place in the quarter-finals, while the German visitors need to win by a goal just to force extra time.
Below are my Porto vs Stuttgart predictions, supported by all the latest team news and match odds.
Porto vs Stuttgart Betting Tips
- Both Teams To Score and Total Goals Over/Under +2.5 - Yes & Over 2.5 @ 11/10

Team News
Porto are still missing knee-injury victims Luuk de Jong and Samu Omorodion, who have both been ruled out for the rest of the season, with Nehuen Perez (Achilles) also in the medical bay.
Stuttgart head to Portugal without Lazar Jovanovic (back), but Josha Vagnoman, who has missed his side's last four games with a thigh injury, has an outside chance of returning to action on Thursday.
Porto vs Stuttgart Predicted Lineups
- Porto: D. Costa; A. Costa, Bednarek, Kiwior, Zaidu; Fofana, Rosario, Veiga; Sainz, Moffi, Gomes
- Stuttgart: Nubel; Nartey, Jeltsch, Chabot, Mittelstadt; Karazor, Stiller; Fuhrich, Undav, El Khannouss; Demirovic
Porto are 7/5 to do the double and win in regulation time on Thursday, implying a 41.7% probability of success, while Stuttgart are 7/4, or a 36.4% chance, to give themselves a chance of qualification and triumph in 90 minutes, with the draw, enough to send the hosts to the next round, offered at 13/5.
The hosts are 2/7 to win the tie by any means, with the visitors 5/2 in the same market.
Porto vs Stuttgart Stats
- VFB have scored in 12 of their last 13 games across all comps
- BTTS-Yes & Over 2.5 Goals has been a winning bet in three of POR's last five matches
- Undav (VFB) has scored in his last four appearances
Both Teams To Score and Total Goals Over/Under +2.5 - Yes & Over 2.5 @ 11/10
This selection was a first-half winner in last week's first leg, with 21st and 27th-minute strikes from Porto's Terem Moffi and Rodrigo Mora, respectively, followed by Deniz Undav's 40th-minute consolation effort.
Porto would be happy with a low-scoring contest this week, provided any goals, or at least half, fall in their direction, but Stuttgart will have other ideas as they look to get themselves level on aggregate.
The visitors should be confident of scoring at least once in Portugal, having found the net in 12 of their last 13 games across all competitions, including the last four. Furthermore, Stuttgart have scored 26 goals across their last 10 away matches, blanking just the once; eight finished with at least three strikes, and five, including the last four, have seen BTTS-Yes & Over 2.5 Goals come in.
Porto, meanwhile, have seen the bet land in three of their last five matches.

Anytime Goalscorer - Deniz Undav (VFB) @ 7/4
If anyone's to score for Stuttgart on Thursday, you'd back it to be Undav, who has found the net in all four of his appearances so far this month.
The 29-year-old struck against VfB Wolfsburg, Mainz 05, Porto and, most recently, RB Leipzig, to take his season tally to 21 goals for the Reds.
Three of those strikes have come in the Europa League, and after putting one past Porto last week, he'll be confident of doing so again in Portugal.
