Team News
Feyenoord could be without a number of first-team players on Thursday, as Justin Bijlow, Givairo Read, Malcolm Jeng, Jordan Bos, Hwang In-beom, Cyle Larin and Thomas Beelen are all dealing with injury problems.
Ayase Ueda will lead the line, and the 27-year-old will be supported in attack by Leo Sauer and Anis Hadj-Moussa.
As for Celtic, Callum Osmand, Alistair Johnston, Kelechi Iheanacho, Marcelo Saracchi and Jota are all absent for Thursday's tie.
Callum McGregor, who scored a 95th-minute winner against St Mirren at the weekend, will start in midfield alongside Arne Engels and Reo Hatate, while Johnny Kenny is expected to be given the nod up top.
Feyenoord vs Celtic Predicted Lineups
- Feyenoord: Wellenreuther; Nieuwkoop, Ahmedhodzic, Watanabe, Smal; Valente, Timber; Hadj-Moussa, Steijn, Sauer; Ueda
- Celtic: Schmeichel; Ralston, Trusty, Scales, Tierney; Engels, Hatate, McGregor; Tounekti, Maeda; Kenny
The hosts are 8/11 favourites for Thursday's contest, giving them an implied win probability of 57.9%, while Celtic are 10/3 and the draw is 3/1.
Ueda is currently favourite to score anytime at 23/20, and both teams to score can be backed at 8/15.
Feyenoord vs Celtic Stats
- Feyenoord have won five of their last seven European home games
- Celtic are winless in 16 matches on the road in Europe
- This is a repeat of the 1969/1970 European Cup final in which Feyenoord won 2-1
Correct Score - Feyenoord 2-1 Celtic @ 7/1
Both sides are in danger of falling at the first hurdle of this year's Europa League, so I think an entertaining affair could be on offer here.
Celtic are only one point adrift of the play-off places but with tough games against Roma and Bologna to come, realistically the Bhoys need a win on Thursday to remain in contention. Martin O'Neill has steadied the ship domestically, but they left it late away from home at the weekend against St Mirren.
Feyenoord are a point worse off and probably have an easier run-in but at the same time, can't afford to slip-up here.
With home advantage on their side, I'm leaning towards a home win, especially since Celtic are winless in 16 games away from home in European competitions.

Ayase Ueda to score anytime @ 23/20
Ueda has been prolific for the Dutch side this term, scoring 13 times so far - although he's fired blanks in his last three appearances and he's yet to open his account in this competition.
The Japanese striker will be desperate to get back among the goals here and he looks a reasonable price at 23/20.
