Celtic vs Stuttgart Prediction: Demirovic in the action

We’ve got a belting Europa League clash coming our way on Thursday night as Martin O’Neill’s Celtic host Stuttgart (20:00 GMT, TNT Sports 1), looking to make their mark in the playoff round.
With a tough away trip to Germany to come, the Bhoys will want to get a win under their belts here - and below you can find my Celtic vs Stuttgart predictions.

Team News
January arrivals Julian Araujo, Junior Adamu and Tomas Cvancara have all been added to Celtic’s European squad and could feature here, especially after Araujo bagged that late winner against Kilmarnock in the 3-2 win.
Having come from two goals down after half-time changes, expect Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Sebastien Tounekti and Cvancara all to be rewarded with starts after contributing to that comeback in the second half.
Stuttgart should start with the dangerous front two of Denis Undav and Ermedin Demirovic, who are in fine form at the moment. Luca Jaquez may return after his illness but Lazar Jovanovic and Justin Diehl are set to be amongst those missing out.
Celtic vs Stuttgart Predicted Lineups
- Celtic - Schmeichel; Araujo, Trusty, Scales, Tierney; Nygren, McGregor, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Tounekti, Cvancara, Maeda
- Stuttgart - Nubel; Assignon, Jeltsch, Chabot, Mittelstadt; Karazor, Andres; Leweling, Undav, Fuhrich; Demirovic
Celtic are priced at 23/10 to win this game, with Stuttgart priced at 11/10 to take the win. That gives the away side an implied win probability of 48%, while a draw is 5/2.
BTTS is 4/7, over 2.5 goals is 8/11 and Undav is the 4/1 favourite to open the scoring.
Celtic vs Stuttgart Stats
- Celtic have won their last five games
- Both teams have scored in four of those
- Ermedin Demirovic has three goals and three yellow cards in his last three games
BTTS @ 4/7
Goals could be the order of the day at Celtic Park. Stuttgart have seen both teams score in three of their last five outings, while Celtic have now seen both teams find the net in six of their last seven.
With confidence high after that recent comeback win, I think the atmosphere will carry Celtic to at least one goal here, and maybe more. I think we are in for a brilliant game on Thursday night under the lights at Celtic Park and although Stuttgart are probably the rightful favourites, Celtic’s good form gives them a great chance of getting something. Let’s start out by backing goals at both ends.

Bet Builder - Ermedin Demirovic to score and get booked @ 5/1
Stuttgart have a deadly front two in Undav and Demirovic, with the latter scoring seven goals in 13 Bundesliga matches this term. He’s been phenomenal since returning from a foot injury and Stuttgart now sit fourth in the league thanks to his goals.
His last three league games make me think he can score and get booked in this one. Three goals in his last three, including two last time out against Koln have been supplemented by three bookings in his last three. He scores, he gets booked. It’s what he does. This Bet Builder is priced at 5/1.
