Celta Vigo vs Lyon Prediction: French side offer smashing value

Celta Vigo edged out PAOK in the play-offs to make it to the last 16 of the Europa League, and their next test comes against Lyon (20:00 GMT, TNT Sports 3).
The French side are going well under Pablo Fonseca, and below you can find my Celta Vigo vs Lyon predictions featuring team news and more.

Team News
Celta Vigo will look to get the best out of Williot Swedberg after he scored twice in their play-off tie and he is set to start on the left of the front three, alongside experienced striker Borja Iglesias and Ferran Jutgla.
Iago Aspas may have to settle for a place on the bench again, with Fer Lopez pushing for a place in the starting XI.
Meanwhile Enrdick has had a difficult start to life in France after his loan move from Real Madrid, and he was booed after coming off the bench against Paris FC. He is likely to be benched again in favour of teenage striker Remi Himbert.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Malick Fofana and Ruben Kluivert are all out, with Corentin Tolisso in the mix to start in midfield having scored from the bench at the weekend.
Celta Vigo vs Lyon Predicted Lineups
- Celta Vigo - Radu; Rodriguez, Starfelt, Alonso, Carreira; Vecino; Aspas, Moriba; Rueda, Iglesias, Swedberg
- Lyon - Greif; Mata, Niakhate, Hateboer; Tagliafico, Tessmann, Nartey, Abner; Karabec, Tolisso; Yaremchuk
Celta Vigo are the 21/20 favourites for this one, with Lyon priced at 12/5 to take a first-leg win. That gives the hosts an implied win probability of 49%, while a draw is 12/5.
Iglesias is the favourite to score first at 4/1, over 2.5 goals is 10/11 and BTTS is 4/5.
Celta Vigo vs Lyon Stats
- Lyon have won 13 of their last 17 games
- Lyon have scored in their last 17 games
- Celta Vigo have only won four of their 14 home league games
Lyon to win - Draw No Bet @ 6/4
Celta Vigo have only won four of their 14 home league games this season and so I think the door is open here for the away side to take advantage. Lyon have lost just three times in their last 21 fixtures, they’ve won 13 of their last 17 games under Fonseca and they finished a whopping eight points above Celta Vigo in the group phase.
They should have enough quality to go and win this first leg, but I think we should play things safe and back Lyon to win in the Draw No Bet market. That means we get our stake back if it ends in a draw - which is a possibility in this first leg.

Both teams to score @ 4/5
I think both teams should score in this game, given the attacking quality on show. Both teams have scored in the last four Lyon matches while five of the last seven Celta Vigo matches have seen over 2.5 goals.
Lyon have scored in their last 17 games, while Celta Vigo have scored in their last seven, so I think we should get a pretty open encounter in Spain on Thursday night.
