Aston Villa vs Young Boys Prediction: Villa should maintain flying form

Aston Villa are flying right now after a sluggish start to the season, and having won nine of their last 11 in all competitions, they will hope to continue their momentum as they welcome Young Boys to Villa Park (17:45, TNT Sports 2).
Below you can find my Aston Villa vs Young Boys predictions as we look to land a winner.

Team News
Ross Barkley has been added to Villa’s Europa League squad to replace the injured Tyrone Mings and so he could be handed a rare start in a changed midfield. Lamare Bogarde is also set to feature in the middle, while Donyell Malen could play in a central role in place of Ollie Watkins.
Ezri Konsa and Pau Torres may retain their spots at centre-back, although Victor Lindelof will be hoping for another start. Jadon Sancho is also expected to feature on the left wing as he looks to shine in Europe.
For Young Boys, former Watford man Ryan Andrews is battling for a start at right-back with Saidy Janko, while Armin Gigovic is suspended and Edimilson Fernandes, Zachary Athekame and Facinet Conte.
In-form Chris Bedia will lead the line again with Christian Fassnacht, formerly of Norwich City, will play from the right wing.

Over 2.5 goals is 2/5, BTTS is 10/11 and Ollie Watkins is the favourite to score first at 5/2.
Aston Villa vs Young Boys Stats
- Villa have won nine of their last 11
- Young Boys have scored nine in their last two fixtures
- Malen scored in his last appearance in this competition
Aston Villa to win and BTTS @ 6/4
Aston Villa are heavy favourites for this game given their current form. They have only lost to Go Ahead Eagles and Liverpool during the last couple of months, but they’ve now won their last three games by an aggregate score of 8-1.
They came from one goal down to beat Leeds 2-1 last time out and Morgan Rogers is in flying form, scoring twice at Elland Road. That has taken them up to fourth in the table after 12 games, and in Unai Emery, they have a brilliant manager who is well-versed in navigating European competitions.
Villa are sixth in the league phase table, having won three out of four and given they have won 14 of 16 at Villa Park, we can expect another home success. I will give Young Boys a goal though, based on the fact that they have scored nine in their last two outings.

Donyell Malen to score anytime @ 8/11
Malen should start up front for Villa and if that is the case, I’d expect him to score. The Dutchman has a goal and an assist in his last two Premier League outings, despite only playing a total of 54 minutes across both games.
He’s started two European games this season and scored against Bologna in his only 90-minute match, so I think the value is there for him to take advantage of this Young Boys defence.
