Euro 2024 Team Betting Predictions: Poland

After failing to win a single game at Euro 2020, Poland will feel like they have a point to prove as they prepare for Euro 2024 on German soil this summer.

Below you can find my Euro 2024 Poland prediction, as well as assessing the squad and the latest top scorer odds.

In a group that included Spain, Sweden and Slovakia, Poland only managed to pick a single point at Euro 2020 and that was surprisingly against the toughest team in Group E in La Roja.

Poland were competitive in all three games played in St Petersburg and Seville but, in the end, they finished rock bottom of the group and failed to progress to the last 16.

Michal Probierz took over the job as national head coach last year and once again the Eagles will have a job on their hands to progress to the knockout stages at this latest European Championship.

Considering Poland’s record in this competition, reaching the quarter-finals just once in their history, it’s understandable why they are such long odds to win the tournament.

The focus for this Polish team must be on simply reaching the knockout stages, something that will be easier said than done considering the level of the opposition in their group.

Poland find themselves in one of the toughest pools at Euro 2024, with Austria, France and the Netherlands also in Group D.

The French are considered one of the favourites to win the tournament, while the Dutch are once again dark horses to lift the trophy.

Poland might well find themselves competing with Austria for one of the highest-ranked third-place finishers in Germany.

With France and the Netherlands in their group, it would take something special for the Poles to finish winners of Group D.

Even with attractive odds, it will pay to look elsewhere than for Poland to finish top of the pile.

Top team goalscorer - Robert Lewandowski @ 8/11

The talisman for his country for many years, star striker Robert Lewandowski should finish the competition as his nation’s top goalscorer.

Lewandowski finds himself in good form heading into this European Championship, having scored 26 goals in all competitions for Barcelona last season.

The former Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich striker has scored 82 times in his 149 appearances for Poland and, as the team’s penalty taker, it’s little surprise the 35-year-old is short odds to be the top team goalscorer for the Eagles.
