Estonia vs Israel Prediction: BTTS in Tallinn

Estonia welcome Israel to A. Le Coq Arena on Friday (19:45) for a Uefa World Cup qualifier. The two teams have already faced off this campaign in Hungary, with Israel prevailing 2-1.
After two matches both sides have three points apiece and given that they share a group with Italy and Norway, this is a match neither side can afford to drop points. Check out my Estonia vs Israel predictions below, accompanied by the latest team news and match odds.

Team News
Karl Hein, Marten Kusk, Maksim Paskotsi, Joonas Tamm, Mattias Kait, Martin Miller, Vlasiy Sinyavskiy, Rauno Sappinen and Henri Anier are the most experienced players in the Estonia squad, and Anier earned his 100th cap against Israel back in March.
Paskotsi was the Sinisargid's goalscorer that day, while Sappinen and Kait were on the scoresheet in the triumph over Moldova last time out.
Estonia vs Israel Stats
- BTTS struck when the two teams met in March
- That meeting also produced over 2.5 goals
Eli Dasa, Dor Peretz and Manor Solomon are the experienced heads in Israel's ranks, and the latter heads into this camp off the back of a very fruitful season with Leeds United.
The winger has seven goals in 43 appearances for his country, the most scored by anyone in the current group. Peretz is closely behind with six across 49 matches. Solomon is set to be deployed on his preferred left flank, while the right may be occupied by former Celtic man Liel Abada.
Red Bull Salzbur's young star Oscar Gloukh is attracting a lot of interest around Europe and there are bound to plenty of scouts in attendance to watch his performance on Friday night.
The 21-year-old's versatility to play out wide or in midfield is what is catching the eyes of some of the big guns across the continent.
Kevor Palumets is ruled out for this clash due to suspension.
Estonia defeated Moldova in their latest appearance and they are 11/2 to defeat Israel.
Both teams have drawn one of their past four games in all competitions and the stalemate is on offer at 3/1, which has an implied probability of 25%.
Israel are the 1/2 favourites to come out on top on Friday, having beaten Estonia 2-1 in the reverse fixture earlier in the year.
Both teams to score landed on that occasion and BTTS is marketed at 11/10 this time around.
Both teams to score @ 11/10
I think that price is too good to ignore and BTTS is my first recommended selection for this game. It was a successful selection when they met back in March and both teams have had their defensive frailties exposed in their two qualifiers to date.
Estonia's back line have been breached four times, while Israel have conceded five times, with four coming against Norway last time out - a game in which both teams were on the scoresheet.
Norway, along with Italy, make this a tough group to get out of and games like this are ones neither side can afford to drop points. I can see this being a cagey affair, similar to their previous meeting and I think it can lead to some defensive errors on both teams.
BTTS also landed in Estonia's win over Moldova last time out, which finished 3-2.
The two teams have attacking players who can step up and deliver while there are still plenty of question marks hanging over their defences.

Over 2.5 goals @ 10/11
Goals are also behind my thinking for my second selection. Due to the shakiness of both sets of defences, as well as the need for points from this fixture, I think there won't be a shortage of goals on Friday.
Over 2.5 goals feels like a sensible pick because it landed when the two teams met back in March, while both their other qualifiers produced three or more goals. Six of Israel's last eight matches in all competitions have produced over 2.5 goals, while this has been a successful bet in five of Estonia's previous seven appearances.
