England vs Netherlands Bet Builder Tips: Lionesses to get back to winning ways in 7/1 punt

England will be looking to keep their Uefa Women's European Championship hopes alive when they lock horns with the Netherlands on Wednesday evening (17:00 BST, live on BBC One).

The Lionesses suffered a 2-1 loss against France in their opener, while a win for the Oranje will seal a spot in the quarter-finals with a game to spare. Read on for my England vs Netherlands Bet Builder tips below.

Simply put - a loss for the Lionesses would spell the end of their tournament in the group stage. England have exited the Women's Euros at this stage in three of their past six tournaments.

Sarina Wiegman's side were largely second-best against France but I'm expecting a much-improved performance, given what's at stake for the Lionesses. England did threaten to snatch a point in the last 15 minutes of the game, but Keira Walsh’s 87th-minute strike was all they had to show for their efforts.

The Lionesses would be expected to see off Wales in their final group game, so their hopes of qualification to the knockout rounds could hinge on Wednesday's result.

The current holders have won three of the previous five matches with Wednesday's opponents, which they will surely take encouragement from. In addition, the teams last met back in December 2023, with England coming back from two goals down to win 3-2.

Both Teams to Score - Yes

I'm predicting that goals will be on the agenda when these two sides meet in Zurich on Wednesday.

England have found the net in each of their last nine matches and have only failed to score twice in their last 29 games across all competitions and friendlies.

The Netherlands have scored in 12 of their last 13 outings, and both teams have hit the target in each of the last four encounters between these two sides.

Total Goals Over/Under 3.5 - Over

Following on from my previous tip, given the attacking talent on both sides, Wednesday's match is likely to produce plenty of goalscoring opportunities.

Both teams saw over 2.5 goals in their opening matches of the Euros, and past encounters between them have also tended to be high-scoring affairs.

There were over 3.5 goals scored in the aforementioned 3-2 England win back in December 2023, and an average of 4.4 goals have been scored in the last five encounters between the two sides.

Player to Score at Anytime - Alessia Russo

My final pick of this bet builder is for Arsenal forward Alessia Russo to get on the scoresheet anytime.

The 26-year-old was unlucky not to score against France, having a goal harshly ruled out for offside when the game was still goalless, but I think she can put that right against the Oranje.

Russo scored 12 goals in 21 Women's Super League games for Arsenal last season - and also bagged in back-to-back games for England prior to the matchday one defeat to France.
