England vs Latvia Odds

England are overwhelming favourites at 1/50 to gain a second win under Tuchel, with Latvia priced at 28/1 to claim a stunning success in this first meeting of these nations, while the draw is rated a 12/1 hope.

England to win to nil is priced at 2/7, while the Three Lions are 4/5 to score over 3.5 goals and 4/9 to win both halves, just as they did at Wembley on Friday night.

Team News

Anthony Gordon misses out for England. The 24-year-old was a late substitute for Marcus Rashford against Albania but hobbled himself before the end and has returned to Newcastle over the weekend.

Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers could be the beneficiary, while both Marcus Rashford and Phil Foden will be sweating on their places after failing to impress Tuchel last time.

Dario Sits was Latvia's goalscoring hero in the 1-0 win over Andorra in their opening Group K game, netting from Roberts Savalnieks' corner. Boss Paolo Nicolato is unlikely to deviate too far from the XI that started that contest at the Estadi Nacional in Andorra la Vieja.

First Goal Time - 1-10 Minutes @ 21/10

It took England 20 minutes to make a breakthrough against Albania on Friday but the Latvians might not resist for as long.

The latest Wembley visitors are ranked 140th on the FIFA rankings, whereas Albania are 65th.

Quick starts are something England are good at in this scenario, scoring inside 20 minutes in four of their last five World Cup qualifiers.

Croatia were the top seeds in Latvia's Euro 2024 qualifying group and they found themselves behind inside 10 minutes home and away against that level of opposition.

England can make a fast start at Wembley and the odds on a goal inside 10 minutes look generous.

Jude Bellingham to score anytime @ 13/10

Real Madrid star Bellingham was the man that played a defence-splitting pass to allow Myles Lewis-Skelly mark his England debut with the opening goal in the win over Albania.

Since Friday, Tuchel has talked at length about his desire to maximise Bellingham's ability in an England shirt.

The 21-year-old had three shots, two on target, against Albania and should get ample opportunity to test the Latvian netminder now.

His tally of six goals in 41 caps is perhaps less than might be expected and he won't get many better chances to improve on that than when facing minnows Latvia on home soil.
