England vs Iceland Prediction: Kane & Toney to bookend routine victory for Three Lions

England's final warm-up game ahead of the European Championships in Germany takes place at Wembley on Friday as the Three Lions host Iceland in an international friendly (19:45, Channel 4).

Team News
England boss Gareth Southgate has all but confirmed the return of Harry Kane to his starting XI after the Bayern Munich striker's goalscoring substitute appearance earlier in the week.
Southgate is keen to build his captain's fitness up, leaving Ivan Toney with a lot to do in his battle to win a seat on the plane, though the Brentford striker "will be involved in the game" according to his manager.
Manchester City pair Kyle Walker and Phil Foden and Man United’s Kobbie Mainoo joined up with the squad on Tuesday, and the former two could be handed starts as the Three Lions look to name close to their strongest line-up to create some cohesion ahead of their opening Euro 2024 fixture with Serbia on Sunday, June 16.
Jude Bellingham is the final player to report for England duty after his Champions League heroics on Saturday, and a cameo appearance off the bench is more likely for him.
It remains to be seen whether Aaron Ramsdale or Dean Henderson are given minutes between the sticks, but whoever is in goal, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw won't be playing in front of them as they continue their recoveries from injury.
The most experienced member of Iceland's squad is Burnley winger Johann Berg Gudmundsson, who also serves as captain for his national team.
With eight goals in 91 caps, Gudmundsson is also the highest-scoring player in the squad, though the main threat on Friday is likely to come from Lyngby forward Andri Gudjohnsen, who has struck six times in 22 caps.

England beat Iceland 4-0 at Wembley in their last meeting in November 2020 - the Three Lions are 1/9 to beat them again on Friday, giving them an implied win probability of 90%, and you can back them to repeat that scoreline at 15/2.
Iceland are 20/1, or a 4.8% chance, to embarrass England for the second time in their history, after Roy Hodgson's reign came to an end with a 2-1 defeat to the Nordic island nation at Euro 2016.
The draw is available at 15/2, both teams to score at 5/4, and over 3.5 total goals at 1/1.
Harry Kane first goalscorer @ 12/5
With Kane expected to start on Friday, he is the obvious choice to back to find the net first. The 30-year-old is his country's record men's goalscorer with 63 goals, eight of which have been in friendly internationals.
The latest of those came on Monday as he scored England's third in a 3-0 win against Bosnia-Herzegovina. He only played half an hour after starting as a substitute, but England's main man still managed to get amongst the goals.
Kane opened the scoring twice for England last year and was their first goalscorer in a 3-1 victory over Italy.
Ivan Toney last goalscorer @ 3/1
Ollie Watkins was preferred to Toney to lead the line for England on Monday and looks to be leading the race to be Kane's deputy in Germany.
Toney was an unused substitute against Bosnia-Herzegovina and looks certain to start on the bench again on Friday, but Southgate has confirmed that he will be involved at some stage, likely to give Kane a breather in the latter stages.
The 28-year-old will be desperate to prove himself in a bid to get himself on the plane, and a goal would certainly help him in that regard.
Toney scored in his last international appearance in March as he successfully converted a penalty in a 2-2 draw with Belgium; if Kane is off the pitch when he enters on Friday, he will be at the front of the queue to take a spot-kick if the Three Lions are awarded one, further improving his chances of netting, which would likely be the final goal of the game.
