England vs Bosnia-Herzegovina Bet Builder Tips: Palmer to score in 7/2 punt

England begin their final Euro 2024 preparations with a friendly with Bosnia-Herzegovina at St James' Park on Monday night (19:45, Channel 4), with Gareth Southgate's extended squad members all looking to impress over the next week.
The Three Lions ranks is made up of 33 players right now and he will need to whittle it down to 26 for tournament finals in Germany, meaning seven stars will not make the cut. The young players who were called up for experience as much as anything, will be looking to impress the England boss and get the nod to head to the Euros. Read on for my England vs Bosnia-Herzegovina bet builder tips.

- Cole Palmer first goalscorer
#PickYourPunt pays at 7/2
England to win
No this is not going to start with an 'it's coming home' speech. There is no disputing that England have a good chance of winning the Euros this summer, but so too do several other nations.
Southgate still has his critics and they believe that he is the sole reason this England team hasn't won anything yet. I don't agree with that, I think there are loads of factors at play. But with each tournament, this group is learning and gaining more valuable experience playing together.
The Three Lions need to build some momentum heading into the tournament and this home clash with Bosnia gives them a chance to do that. Man for man, their squad is vastly superior to their opponents and there should be no issues with them coming away with a win here.
This is enhanced when there are just two chances for the fringe players and newcomers to prove to Southgate that they deserve to be part of his 26-man squad in Germany, so expect a lot of intensity from those given the opportunity to play in Newcastle on Monday night.
Over 1.5 England goals
This leads me on to the second leg. With that last point in mind, there will be a lot of hunger among the Three Lions players to score goals. For the collective, it will raise their confidence heading into the tournament, and for the individuals, it only strengthens their case to be a part of it.
You only have to look at England's attacking options in Harry Kane, Cole Palmer, Phil Foden, Jarrod Bowen, Anthony Gordon, Bukayo Saka and Eberechi Eze to understand just how many attacking options Southgate has to choose from, and that there should be no shortage of goals on offer from these players.
It is also worth noting that England have scored at least two goals in three of their last five outings, so I am confident we will see them score more than once on Tyneside.
Cole Palmer first goalscorer
My bet builder is rounded off by Palmer being the first person to score at St James' Park. The Chelsea man has had an incredible campaign with his club, scoring 24 goals across all competitions, and many believe that he should be one of the first names on the Three Lions team sheet.
I expect him to get the chance to shine in the next two friendlies and I think he will rise to the challenge against Bosnia. He has shown all season how clinical he is in front of goal and so I don't see him being fazed when looking to translate that to the international stage.
