Team News
Eintracht number one Kevin Trapp (shin) has missed his side's last six games through injury. The 34-year-old will be absent again on Thursday, with Brazilian Kaua Santos, 12 years Trapp's junior, lining up between the sticks for his seventh consecutive appearance.
Neither Junior Dina Ebimbe (calf) nor Ansgar Knauff (knee) have featured this month for SGE, and both players remain in the club's treatment room, with the former dropped from their European list in January, too.
Igor Matanovic, who played seven times in the league phase, was also left out of Eintracht's updated squad to make space for mid-season signings Michy Batshuayi and Elye Wahi.
Oscar Hojlund, brother of Manchester United striker Rasmus, started Sunday's 3-0 win over Heidenheim in the Bundesliga, but the Danish midfielder isn't on Eintracht's Uefa list, either.
Eintracht Frankfurt vs Tottenham Hotspur Stats
- Spurs have lost five of last six away games (inc. last four)
- Hugo Ekitike (FRA) has scored in back-to-back EL matches (21 season goals)
- Eintracht/Eintracht was a winner on Sunday
Tottenham captain Son Heung-min missed his side's defeat at Molineux on Sunday with a foot injury, and the South Korean star is a doubt for Thursday's second leg in Germany.
Should the 32-year-old fail to recover from that issue, he would join Kevin Danso (thigh) and Radu Dragusin (knee) in the treatment room, while Antonin Kinsky, Fraser Forster, Sergio Reguilon and Timo Werner were all left out of Spurs' European squad in January.
Dejan Kulusevski made his return from injury against Wolves and will be desperate to play more minutes on Thursday, although any he receives are likely to be from the bench as he continues to regain full fitness.
Rodrigo Bentancur, Lucas Bergvall, Pedro Porro, Destiny Udogie, Micky van de Ven and Richarlison were all named on the bench at the bench, but all six players are potential starters in Frankfurt.
Eintracht Frankfurt vs Tottenham Hotspur Odds
Eintracht are unbeaten in five Europa League home games this season (W4, D1) and have been installed as 7/5 favourites to win in regulation time on Thursday, implying a 41.7% probability of success. Spurs, meanwhile, are 9/5, or a 35.7% chance, to snap out of a four-match losing run on their travels and beat the German side inside 90 minutes.
The draw, which would send the tie to extra time, is priced at 5/2, with Eintracht 8/11 and Spurs 1/1 to reach the semi-finals by any means.
Both teams to score is priced at 8/15, and a repeat of last week's 1-1 scoreline is 6/1.
Hugo Ekitike opened the scoring at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and heads the anytime goalscorer market here at 13/10, followed by visiting duo Dominic Solanke (15/8) and Richarlison (2/1).
Bet Builder - Eintracht Frankfurt to Win (90 mins) and Hugo Ekitike (FRA) Anytime Goalscorer @ 13/5
Eintracht made a fast start to the first leg in north London, taking the lead in the sixth minute through their talisman Ekitike, whose importance to the side has become even greater since the January departure of Omar Marmoush to Manchester City.
Ekitike has scored 21 goals for Eintracht this season, and 42.9% (nine) have come following Marmoush's exit to England.
The 22-year-old only struck twice in the league phase of this competition but has been on target for Eintracht in both knockout phase rounds, netting in their 4-1 home thrashing of Ajax in the last 16 before opening the scoring against Spurs last Thursday.
He now goes in search of a third consecutive goal in Europe, and after rounding off the scoring on Sunday against Heidenheim, a second-leg strike would be his third on the trot in all competitions.
Ekitike only shot twice at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last week but hit the target with both efforts, scoring in the sixth minute before forcing Spurs goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario into a save just before the interval.
The French forward will expect to pose even more problems for Spurs on home soil, and the visitors will be nervous after shipping four goals to a lowly Wolves side on Sunday.
Tottenham have lost their last four travel games, failing to score in the first three, and it's five defeats in their last six away.
Everything has been riding on Europe for Ange Postecoglou since Spurs' Carabao Cup exit in February, but a failure to win last week's first leg has left his side in a precarious position heading to Bundesliga high-flyers Eintracht, who have won their last three home matches. Ekitike has scored in two of those victories, and another goal for him in another SGE success looks like the best bet here.
Half-time/Full-time - Eintracht Frankfurt/Eintracht Frankfurt @ 11/4
Tottenham have made terrible starts to their last two games, conceding in the sixth minute to Ekitike last Thursday before allowing Rayan Ait-Nouri to open the scoring in the second minute three days later.
Postecoglou's side also began poorly in their last European away, with Bergvall putting through his own net in the 18th minute, and AZ Alkmaar went on to win that last-16 first leg 1-0.
Eintracht, meanwhile, took the lead against Heindheim in the 10th minute on Sunday and doubled their lead in the 42nd before Ekitike added gloss to the scoreline in the second half.
They were also winning 2-0 at half-time in their last Europa League home game, eventually beating Ajax 4-1 in Frankfurt, and Dino Toppmoller will be looking to see his side make another fast start on Thursday.
At 11/4, Eintracht are well well-priced to take a lead before the interval and hold on to it against a confidence-stricken Spurs.
