Team news
Ecuador boss Sebastian Beccacece should give game time to as many of his players as possible on Sunday, but the bigger names in his squad are expected to start, including Arsenal's Piero Hincapie, Paris Saint-Germain's Willian Pacho, Chelsea's Moises Caicedo and skipper Enner Valencia.
Guatemala, who did not qualify for the World Cup, may stick with the same starting side that went down 3-1 to the Czech Republic earlier this week.
Ecuador vs Guatemala Predicted Lineups
- Ecuador - Galindez; Franco, Ordonez, Pacho, Hincapie; Preciado, Caicedo, Vite, Angulo; Plata, Valencia
- Guatemala - Moran; Hernandez, Ardon, Pinto; Yanes, Franco, Rosales, Morales; Santis, Mendez, Munoz
Ecuador are clear favourites to win at 1/5, a draw is 9/2 and Guatemala are 12/1 to pull off an upset.
Ecuador conceded just five goals in 18 games during South American qualifying, but they have now gone three games without a clean sheet.
Both teams to score is 13/8 and over 2.5 goals can be backed at 4/6.
Ecuador vs Guatemala Stats
- Ecuador only conceded five goals in qualifying
- Guatemala have conceded 10 goals in their last two outings
Over 2.5 goals @ 4/6
Ecuador should win this game fairly comfortably as they look to sign off in style before the serious business of a World Cup campaign gets underway.
La Tri have to be considered as potential dark horses for a deep run in North America after a stellar qualification campaign. They beat Argentina and finished ahead of Brazil in the final table, being beaten only to the two heavyweights of their continent as they lost just two of their 18 games.
Backing Ecuador to cover a handicap is one option, but the better angle could be simply focusing on the goals market.
Ecuador's attack isn't particularly prolific, but they have a chance to grab a few goals in their final warm-up against weaker opposition, who have shipped 10 goals across their last two games alone.
Both managers should make a number of changes to their respective sides over the course of the contest and that should open the game up.
Guatemala may be able to add to the goals total as Ecuador have conceded in their last three games and Los Chapines have scored in eight of their last 10 games, including a strike against the Czechs last time out, so these sides can combine for at least three goals.

John Yeboah to score anytime @ 6/4
There are a few contenders for an anytime effort for Ecuador and winger John Yeboah looks a solid value pick at 6/4.
Yeboah impressed in the 2-1 win over Saudi Arabia last time out as he set up both goals and now he may be able to get on the scoresheet himself.
The 25-year-old had two shots in that win over the Saudis and may get more opportunities against a weaker Guatemala outfit.
He also enjoyed a productive season domestically with Spezia in Italy's Serie B as he weighed in with 10 goals in 32 games to help his side win the title and promotion.
Yeboah, who played for Germany at youth level before switching allegiances to Ecuador, has three goals in 22 appearances for La Tri and Sunday's friendly looks like an ideal opportunity to add to his international haul.
