Deportivo Alaves vs Celta Vigo Prediction: 15/8 scorer to influence home win

Deportivo Alaves will be hoping last week's impressive 3-1 victory at European-chasing Real Betis was just the start of their push for La Liga survival when they host Celta Vigo at the Mendizorroza on Monday night (20:00).
Read on for my Deportivo Alaves vs Celta Vigo predictions, featuring the latest odds and team news.
Deportivo Alaves vs Celta Vigo Odds
Given their position in the table, it is perhaps surprising that Deportivo Alaves are installed as the favourites at 8/5, with both the draw and a Celta win priced at 2/1.
Goals are expected at the Mendizorroza on Monday night, with over 2.5 goals available at 11/10 and over 3.5 at 3/1, while both teams to score is priced at 4/5.
Team News
Deportivo Alaves midfielder Antonio Blanco picked up his fifth booking of the season in last weekend's win over Real Betis so will miss Monday's clash due to suspension.
First-choice goalkeeper Antonio Sivera remains sidelined by a hand injury, although midfielder Joan Jordan and forward Carlos Martin are hopeful of a return.
Marcos Alonso is available for the visitors again after serving a suspension, although fellow defender Oscar Mingueza will serve a ban of his own. Alfon Gonzalez has been ruled out with a thigh injury, while fellow forward Iago Aspas and midfielder Jailson face fitness tests.
Deportivo Alaves to win @ 8/5
Alaves have the joint-worst home record in La Liga this season, with just 12 points garnered from nine games, but it is worth noting that they have still been beaten only three times, with three wins and three draws forming their other results.
That's hardly a convincing argument for backing them, admittedly, but there has been an upturn since Eduardo Coudet took charge. Los Blanquiazules have lost just one of his five league games in charge, 1-0 at home to Girona.
Prior to that defeat, Alavez included a 1-1 home draw with Athletic Bilbao among a run of three stalemates, while they bounced back impressively last time out in Seville.
Celta Vigo may have thoughts of a European bid as they are just six points behind Mallorca in sixth, but the reality is they are only four clear of Alaves and can get dragged deeper into the relegation mix.
A massive concern for Claudio Giraldez's men is their dire away form as they have lost seven of nine games on the road in La Liga, beating only Las Palmas (1-0) and drawing at Betis (2-2).
Los Celestes have already been thumped 3-0 at fellow strugglers Leganes and 3-1 at Espanyol, go into the game on a run of three defeats in all competitions and are averaging more than two goals against them on their travels.
It might not be pretty but following a confidence-boosting win at Betis, Alaves can give themselves some breathing room in their battle to beat the drop.

Kike to score anytime @ 15/8
Kike is hardly prolific and tends to score in fits and starts, but he goes into Monday's contest full of confidence having banged in all three goals in that win over Betis.
With braces against Deportivo Minera in the Copa del Rey and in the 2-2 draw at Osasuna, the 35-year-old veteran has notched seven goals in his last six games in all competitions.
He has been kept off the scoresheet in three of those games but against the joint third-worst defence in La Liga and as his side's penalty taker, he still looks good value to find the back of the net.
