Gareth Southgate and England will be desperate for three points when they face Denmark in the second group game of Euro 2024 later today. With kick-off at 17:00, excitement is building around the country as the Three Lions look to secure their place in the knockout stages with a game to spare.

We’ve spoken to former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson, and he has put forward his bet builder for this massive game. Betfred have now boosted the odds for this to come in from 7/2 to 9/2, which looks to be excellent value looking at the selections. Here’s what Robbo fancies from this Group C clash.

Denmark vs England Bet Builder Tips

  • England to win
  • Harry Kane to score

England to win

Although England’s second half performance against Serbia was slightly concerning, the first game of a tournament is always difficult. Back in 2006, in the World Cup in Germany, we scrapped past Paraguay with a 1-0 win in our opening game, and that was thanks to an own goal.

Ultimately, it is only the three points, and the clean sheet that counts at this stage, while I was also impressed with how England played in the opening half an hour. Now they have dusted off the cobwebs, I’m expecting a more cohesive performance, even up against a decent side in Denmark. I think the Three Lions will win this one.

Harry Kane to score

Kane was only limited to a handful of touches against Serbia in that opening game, as he was manhandled by their physical back three. It was a tough opening game for the Bayern Munich man, but I’m expecting him to have a bit more success against Denmark.

Despite being quiet, he almost scored with a crashing header in the second half against Serbia, and I think he will be given better service in this game. I’m always happy to back the England captain to score, and will do so again here.

Jude Bellingham 1+ shot on target

Jude Bellingham is ready to take this tournament by storm. You could see it in his demeanour against Serbia, and he has that confidence that could help England reach the latter stages of Euro 2024. He scored the opening goal by breaking into the box, and given he is going to start in the number 10 role again, I would expect more of the same. He can certainly get one shot on target in this one, and England need him to step up once again.

Over 7.5 corners

Denmark saw 14 corners in total in their 1-1 draw with Slovenia, winning nine of them and given England are going to be trying to assert themselves as the dominant side, I think over 7.5 in this one is more than achievable. I’m expecting to see more shots from the likes of Kane and Phil Foden, while Bukayo Saka is always a threat down the right-hand side. With both teams boasting attacking quality, I think over 7.5 corners is a good way to boost our odds.
