Denmark vs Sweden Prediction: Hojlund to get into rhythm for the Euros

Denmark host neighbours Sweden at Parken in Copenhagen on Wednesday evening (18:00, Premier Sports 2) for a friendly in warm-up to this summer's European Championship.
After reaching the semi-finals at Euro 2020, the Danes will be hoping that they can put together another spectacular run in Germany, but they will need to head into the tournament with some momentum. Below I have put forward my Denmark vs Sweden prediction, including match odds and team news.
Denmark vs Sweden Betting Tips
Denmark are 9/10 to win this encounter, giving them an implied probability of 52.6%. Sweden are valued at 3/1, which gives them a 25% chance of victory. The draw can be backed at 5/2 (28.6%).
Both teams to score is on offer at 8/11 and over 2.5 goals is marketed at 4/5.
Sweden striker Alexander Isak finished the Premier League season with 21 goals for Newcastle United and he is priced at 9/4 to score anytime here.
Team News
Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen has scored 40 goals for his country and all his teammates have a lot of catching up to do to get near his total. His Manchester United peer Rasmus Hojlund should do over the course of his career and he will be hoping to be a key figure for Denmark this summer.
Celtic's Matt O'Riley was a big omission by manager Kasper Hjulmand after a stunning season with the Hoops. Other big profiles to miss out were Philip Billing, Jesper Lindstrom and Martin Braithwaite.
Sweden will be without goalscoring machine Viktor Gyokeres following a knee operation that will see him sidelined for a number of weeks. Luckily for boss Jon Dahl Tomasson, he has another excellent forward in Isak to lead the line in the next couple of matches.
Isak will likely be joined by fellow Premier League stars Anthony Elanga and Dejan Kulusevski in attack.
Former Arsenal youngster Kristoffer Olsson remains out of action after being hospitalised earlier in the year due to blood clots on the brain.
Defenders Linus Wahlqvist and Eric Smith pulled out from this month's squad.
Price Boost - Denmark to win and both teams to score @ 11/4 (was 9/4)
Denmark have had a habit of shutting out opponents in friendlies of late but I do expect that to end against their neighbours in Copenhagen, simply because they are coming up against an excellent forward in Isak.
However, I do fancy the hosts to win because firstly they are on home soil and that always plays a factor. And unlike Sweden, they will be partaking in the Euros from next week and they need to get into a rhythm before travelling to Germany.
Then when it comes to the players themselves, they will be wanting to show Hjulmand why they should be starting in Denmark's Group C opener against Slovakia on June 16.
They have more motivation to win this clash than the visitors, but I do think with the way the two teams have been performing in recent international breaks, the Danes would come out on top anyway.
Denmark will be eager to go on another incredible European Championship journey this summer, and their best bet for that to happen again is for them to head into the tournament with a couple of wins behind them. And I do think they will get off to a flying start at Parken on Wednesday.
Rasmus Hojlund anytime goalscorer @ 7/5
This fixture will serve as a perfect exercise for young striker Hojlund. The United front man has so much potential and we have already seen glimpses of what the finished article may look like in a few years' time.
Hojlund will be one of the players looking to start most of Denmark's Euros matches and in his position the best way to convey that message to his manager is by scoring goals.
I reckon that he is looking forward to this Scandinavian clash as a goal here will raise his confidence just before the Euros, which can have a great effect on his tournament performances.
Sweden have missed out on the Euros for the first time since 1996 and the players will still be quite raw from not qualifying with the tournament commencing in just over a week. Their defensive frailties in the qualifying campaign I suspect are still lingering, and I fancy Hojlund to exploit them and grab a goal at Parken.
