Denmark vs Norway Prediction: Danes to secure second Scandinavian success of the week

Denmark beat Sweden 2-1 on Wednesday to kickstart their Euro 2024 preparations, and in their second and final pre-tournament friendly they face another Scandinavian rival, Norway, at Brondby Stadion on Saturday (18:30, Premier Sports).
Saturday's visitors to Brondby also won in midweek, beating Kosovo 3-0 thanks to an Erling Haaland hat-trick. You can build up to this international friendly by checking out my Denmark vs Norway prediction down below, where you can also find all the latest team news and match odds.

Team News
Joachim Andersen was the only Denmark starter not to last at least 60 minutes in Wednesday's win, being substituted at half-time for Zanka, so it remains to be seen whether the Crystal Palace defender suffered an injury.
Victor Kristiansen, Morten Hjulmand, Thomas Delaney and Yussuf Poulsen all appeared as second-half substitutes against the Swedes and will be looking to earn starts on Saturday.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Christian Eriksen scored Denmark's goals in midweek and will be key players for their country at Euro 2024.
Norway beat Kosovo 3-0 on Wednesday courtesy of a Haaland hat-trick; the Manchester City striker should start again, but may not last the full 90 minutes.
Antonio Nusa made an impression off the bench and is an option from the beginning in Brondby, while Julian Ryerson could come into the starting XI after being kept on the sidelines in midweek following his Champions League final exertions with Borussia Dortmund.

Denmark are 5/4 to beat their Scandinavian rivals in the first meeting between the pair since 2013 - which the Danes won 2-1 - giving them an implied win probability of 44.4% on Saturday. Norway can be backed at 9/4, or a 30.8% chance, to win themselves, while the draw is available at 23/10.
Both teams to score is priced at 8/11 and over 2.5 goals at 10/11.
Erling Haaland anytime goalscorer @ 11/8
I backed Haaland to score two or more goals at 18/5 in my Norway vs Kosovo preview earlier in the week, and the 23-year-old went one better by hitting a hat-trick in Oslo.
Denmark are a much better side than Kosovo, so I'm lowering the suggestion a tad. Instead, I'm backing Haaland to score anytime at 11/8, which seems feasible if he does indeed start on Saturday.
The Danes were caught out early on against Sweden by another Premier League hotshot, Alexander Isak, and Haaland could cause even more problems for their defence.
Andersen is a doubt for the game in Brondby, which could mean a start for either Zanka or Simon Kjaer. Pairing one of those with Jannik Vestergaard is sure to have Haaland licking his lips, with none of those three - particularly Vestergaard - known for their blistering pace.
Denmark to win & both teams to score @ 16/5
Norway have scored in 11 of their last 12 internationals, netting 27 times in total, and with Haaland up top - supplied by Martin Odegaard - they are a threat to any defence.
However, simply put, Denmark are better. Since going out at the group stage at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the Danes have won lost just twice in 13 games, winning nine of them, including seven of their last nine.
Both teams have scored in seven of those 13 matches, with Denmark winning five of them, including the 2-1 victory over Sweden in midweek.
The Red and Whites will want to depart for Germany with a win under their belt and ensure a good reception from their supporters after a contest with another Scandinavian rival.
