Crystal Palace vs Wolves Prediction: Old Gold to take advantage of jubilant Eagles

Crystal Palace won the first major trophy in their history on Saturday, beating Manchester City 1-0 at Wembley Stadium. The victory sparked jubilant scenes of celebration in south London, with anyone associated with the Eagles no doubt continuing the party for the rest of the weekend, but on Tuesday (20:00), Oliver Glasner's side must turn their attention back to Premier League matters, as Wolverhampton Wanderers pitch up at Selhurst Park.
Below are my Crystal Palace vs Wolves predictions, supported by all the latest team news and match odds ahead of this midweek meeting in SE25.

Team News
Glasner has confirmed that Palace defender Marc Guehi and influential midfielder Adam Wharton will miss Tuesday evening's match against Wolves.
Both players started Saturday's cup final victory, but neither lasted until the final whistle, with Guehi taken off in the 61st minute after taking a blow to the eye, and Wharton withdrawn in the 87th minute after being hit on the back of the head by a Kevin De Bruyne shot.
Guehi and Wharton both missed the club's FA Cup celebration party after being taken to the hospital, and neither will recover in time for Tuesday.
Glasner didn't raise any further problems from Saturday, but the quick turnaround, coupled with his side's comfortable position (12th) in the table, could see the Austrian make changes to his starting XI in midweek.
Will Hughes, Jefferson Lerma and Eddie Nketiah are among those who could earn starts against Wolves, while departing defender and captain Joel Ward, who has been at the club since 2012, may be afforded an on-pitch opportunity to wave goodbye to supporters.
Chadi Riad and Cheick Doucoure remain sidelined with knee injuries.
Crystal Palace vs Wolves Stats
- Marshall Munetsi (WOL) has scored five league goals in 24/25 (four for Reims, one for Wolves)
- Wolves have won three of their last four away games
Wolves will be without Sam Johnstone (unspecified), Yerson Mosquera, Enso Gonzalez, Sasa Kalakdzic and Leon Chiwome (all knee) for their final away game of the season, while Hwang Hee-Chan, who missed his side's last match, a 2-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion on May 10, could miss out again with a hamstring injury.
It remains to be seen whether the Old Gold's talisman, Brazil international Matheus Cunha, is dropped down to the bench at Selhurst Park. Fabrizio Romano reported on Monday that the 25-year-old was closing in on a summer move to Manchester United, and his latest appearance against the Seagulls wasn't his finest in a Wolves shirt as he gave away the penalty for Brighton's first goal and was hooked before the hour mark, along with Matt Doherty and Goncalo Guedes.
Jorgen Strand Larsen, Rodrigo Gomes and Pablo Sarabia were introduced for the trio, while Jean-Ricner Bellegarde and Matheus Mane were thrown on later in the match, and a couple of those players could earn promotions to the starting XI on Tuesday.
Palace won last season's corresponding fixture 3-2, and the Eagles are 13/8 to chalk up a fifth consecutive Selhurst Park victory over Wolves, who are 9/5, or a 35.7% chance, to triumph at the ground for the first time since October 2018.
The sides exchanged a 2-2 draw at the Molineux in November's reverse fixture; a second stalemate of the campaign between the two can be backed at 12/5, while a repeat of that scoreline is priced at 12/1.
Anytime Goalscorer - Marshall Munetsi (WOL) @ 18/5
Wolves midfielder Marshall Munetsi has only scored once in 12 Premier League appearances (11 starts) since joining from French side Stade Reims in January, netting the Old Gold's equaliser in their 1-1 draw with Everton on March 8.
However, the 28-year-old hasn't been shy to shoot since making the move to England, averaging 1.8 efforts per 90, slightly up on his average of 1.7 in Ligue 1 during the first half of the season.
Munetsi shot four times in Wolves' defeat to Brighton last time out, with all four efforts taken in the first half. He hit the target once, forcing a save from Seagulls goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen.
On Tuesday, Munetsi could come up against a tired Eagles outfit, or one that could be considered their second string, depending on how Glasner plays things.
That should be music to the ears of the Zimbabwe international, who struck four times in 19 Ligue 1 outings this term before leaving France for pastures new.
Munetsi seems like one of the most certain starters in the Wolves midfield/attack, with question marks over Cunha's participation, so at 18/5, he's an enticing option in the anytime goalscorer market.

Match Result - Wolves @ 9/5
It could be difficult for Palace to switch back on after their weekend high at Wembley, so backing the underdogs in this contest may be a wise move.
Wolves are currently 14th, but could finish as low as 17th, while their ambition will be to overtake Everton in 13th.
Palace, meanwhile, are safe in 12th, and while they can still secure a top-half finish, qualification to next season's Uefa Europa League has already been clinched.
We've seen Liverpool drop their standards after winning the Premier League, with the Reds losing 3-1 to Chelsea and letting a two-goal lead against Arsenal slip to draw 2-2, and I'm predicting something similar from the Eagles, with Wolves ready to take full advantage on Tuesday.
