Crystal Palace enjoyed the best day in the club's history on Saturday as they triumphed over Manchester City to win the FA Cup at Wembley - the Eagles' first-ever major trophy. It's a quick turnaround for Oliver Glasner's side as they welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers to Selhurst Park in the Premier League on Tuesday (20:00).

The Old Gold have had over a week to prepare for this clash and they may be feeling that they can profit from some tired Palace legs here. Read on for my Crystal Palace vs Wolves Bet Builder Tips, which pay out at an enticing 10/1.

Draw or Wolves

There's sure to be a party atmosphere at Selhurst Park on Tuesday night. It's Palace's last home game of the season and it gives the chance for the supporters to celebrate their FA Cup heroes.

The fans will be totally understanding if their side are not quite at the races here as there were lots of videos circling over the weekend which featured the players basking in their victory - with matchday hero Dean Henderson's standing out above the rest.

As there will have likely been plenty of hangovers on Sunday, I think there's a chance for one out on the pitch on Tuesday night. The FA Cup final was a physical and mental rollercoaster and this could impact Palace against Wolves, who should be feeling much fresher after an entire week off to prepare for this game.

Wolves may have lost their past two matches in the top flight but they had won six in a row before that and they will pose a threat in south London. Then there is the likelihood that some of Palace's star players will be rested, such as Saturday's goalscoring hero Eberechi Eze, while Adam Wharton (concussion) and captain Marc Guehi (fractured eye socket) are both injury concerns.

There is still room for the explosive Ismaila Sarr to feature, while Eddie Nketiah will be out to impress if he's tasked with leading the line. There is still quality available to Glasner in this fixture, and that's why I think covering a draw as insurance with a Wolves victory is a safe selection here - especially as his side are five games unbeaten at home.

It's also worth noting that the reverse fixture was a 2-2 draw at Molineux back in November.

Both teams to score

BTTS was a winning selection on that occasion and has been successful in four of the past five Premier League meetings between the two clubs.

There have been goals at both ends in five of Palace's previous eight appearances in the top flight heading into Tuesday. Additionally, BTTS has struck in nine of their last 12 league matches at Selhurst Park.

For Wolves, BTTS has landed in 61% (11/18) of their away trips in the league this term, including four of their past seven. As such, I think we will see both teams get on the scoresheet in this one.

Crystal Palace vs Wolves Stats

  • Wolves have won six of their last eight PL games
  • Crystal Palace are five league matches unbeaten at home
  • BTTS has struck in four of the past five PL meetings between the two clubs
  • Will Hughes (CRY) has 11 yellow cards this season

Crystal Palace vs Wolves Odds

Will Hughes to be carded

Eagles midfielder Will Hughes was limited to a brief cameo at Wembley, so he's likely to get a start against Wolves, most likely at the expense of Wharton. The Englishman is always involved in the gritty parts of the game and he has had a habit of getting into trouble.

I think he could be a shrewd selection to pick up a booking here because he has been shown 11 yellow cards in the Premier League to date this campaign - and only Flynn Downes (Southampton) and Sasa Lukic (Fulham) have gone into the book more times than Hughes with 12 apiece.

Hughes is not the quickest of players, either, so he faces a battle against the likes of Joao Gomes and Andre, who will both be able to accelerate away from the Palace man.

Over 9.5 corners

These two teams don't average very high for corners this season, with Palace's at 4.75 per game, while Wolves' figure is 3.64.

However, Palace's last two appearances in the league have produced at least 10 corners, while this has been the case in three of the visitors' previous three outings in the top flight.

The reverse fixture fell just short of this threshold with nine corners in the match, but I think one more is achievable this time around considering the volume that both teams' games have racked up recently.
