Crystal Palace vs Nottingham Forest Prediction: Go for goals at both ends at Selhurst Park

Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest will both be looking to build on positive respective starts to the new season when they meet in the Premier League on Sunday (14:00 BST, Sky Sports Premier League).
Palace managed to hold Chelsea to a 0-0 stalemate at Stamford Bridge, a result that seems even more impressive now after the Blues destroyed West Ham 5-1 on Friday, while Forest got off to a winning start with a 3-1 success over Brentford.
Here are my Crystal Palace vs Nottingham Forest predictions, supported by all the latest team news and match odds.

Team News
Crystal Palace forward Eberechi Eze should be confirmed as an Arsenal player by the time Sunday’s game kicks off, and in any case, he won’t be involved after sitting out the Conference League win over Fredrikstad in midweek.
Marc Guehi continues to be linked with Liverpool, but he should feature. The same side that faced Chelsea ought to start against Forest, aside from Eze, with Eddie Nketiah, Chadi Riad, Cheick Doucoure and Matheus Franca all missing.
Nicolas Dominguez is Forest’s only absentee; new signings James McAtee, Omari Hutchinson and Arnaud Kalimuendo could feature.
Crystal Palace vs Nottingham Forest Stats
- Palace have failed to beat Forest in the club's last nine meetings
- In none of the last six clashes have either team scored more than once, since a 2-2 draw in 2012
Crystal Palace vs Nottingham Forest Odds
Crystal Palace are 7/5 to claim maximum points, a draw is 9/4 and Nottingham Forest are 11/5 to come away with a win.
Jean-Philippe Mateta scored the only goal of the game in Palace’s European win in midweek, and he is the 5/1 favourite to open the scoring. Forest striker Chris Wood is priced at 6/1.
Both teams to score @ 10/11
Palace finished last season strongly at home and are worthy favourites to claim maximum points on the basis of their display against Chelsea, but they may be a little distracted by their upcoming trip to Norway, as their tie with Fredrikstad is far from over.
Nottingham Forest were better on their travels last season, with just over half of their points coming on the road. Forest ended up in seventh place overall but had the third-best away record in the league.
That suggests this should be a competitive game between two fairly evenly-matched teams and the best starting point looks to be backing both teams to get on the scoresheet.
Palace have only failed to score in one of their last 16 competitive home games and both teams have scored in 12 of those fixtures, while both teams scored in Forest’s opener and in three of their final four games last season - including a 1-1 draw with the Eagles at this ground.

Chris Wood to score anytime @ 11/5
Wood turned in a memorable season last term as his goals helped fire Forest into Europe. The New Zealand international weighed in with 20 goals in 36 games and he has a decent record against Palace, with two goals in the last three clashes between these teams.
Wood’s form did dip towards the end of last season, but he has hit the ground running this term. The 33-year-old scored twice against Brentford and he looks a strong contender to get on the scoresheet at Selhurst Park.
