Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth Prediction: Hosts looking to tighten up at the back

On the back of two thumpings away from home, Crystal Palace will attempt to regroup against Bournemouth when they welcome the Cherries to Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon (15:00).
The Seagulls shipped five goals on the road for the second time in four days on Wednesday, as Newcastle United ran out 5-0 winners. The Cherries claimed a much-needed victory against Fulham last time out, and they'll be looking to follow that up here. Team News
Palace emerged unscahthed from the hiding they received at St James' Park as no players picked up fresh injuries. Chadi Riad and Cheick Doucoure are the only notable absentees at present.
Adam Wharton had to settle for an appearance off the bench against Newcastle, so the Englishman could be in line to return to the starting XI here.
Marco Senesi was taken off at half-time in Bournemouth's win over Fulham, but that change appeared to be tactical given that he was on a booking.
Marcus Tavernier made a substitute cameo on Monday after recovering from injury, but Luis Sinisterra and Julien Kluivert will be assessed before kick-off on Saturday.
Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth Stats
- Crystal Palace have won their last three Premier League home games
- Bournemouth's 1-0 victory over Fulham last weekend was their first since beating Southampton 3-1 on February 15
Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth Odds
There's nothing to split the pair betting-wise, as both sides are priced up at 13/8 to claim the three points, giving them an implied win probability of 38.1%, while the draw can be backed at 5/2.
Jean-Philippe Mateta leads the anytime goalscorer market at 7/5, while Evanilson is shortest-priced for the visitors at 2/1.
Draw @ 5/2
Palace have shipped 10 goals across their last two Premier League outings, and will be looking to get back on track this weekend, especially with their FA Cup semi-final clash against Aston Villa on the horizon.
The Eagles have won each of their last three home Premier League matches however, and will feel they can reset at Selhurst Park ahead of their trip to Wembley.
Bournemouth represent a dangerous visitor though, as the Cherries have scored 32 away Premier League goals this season, with only Liverpool scoring more (40).
Each of Bournemouth’s last two away Premier League matches have ended 2-2. They’ve both scored and conceded two or more goals in seven away games this season - again, the joint-most of any side along with Liverpool.
I think makes sense to back the draw as Palace will look to tighten things up defensively, while Bournemouth have a tendency to concede goals on their travels.

Evanilson to score anytime @ 2/1
Bournemouth's Brazilian forward, who's missed a large part of this season due to injury has returned with a bang for the Cherries.
The 25-year-old has scored four of Bournemouth's last five goals, including a brace away at West Ham United in the Cherries' most recent road trip..
At 2/1, he looks the standout pick to score anytime, especially against a fragile Palace defence that's shipped 10 goals across their last two games.
