Sparta Prague vs Aberdeen Prediction: 4/1 tip to send you Rrahmani barmy in Prague

Aberdeen’s sorry Uefa Conference League campaign comes to an end on Thursday when they visit Sparta Prague at epet ARENA (21:00 local, 20:00 GMT, live on TNT Sports 2).
The home side need a win to confirm automatic progression to the Round of 16 as one of the competition’s top eight sides. My Sparta Prague vs Aberdeen predictions are below, complete with team news and Betfred’s match odds.

Team News
Sparta boss Brian Priske will go strong in his team selection as the home side go all out for the victory which would see them reach the last 16.
That could mean him sticking closely to the group which drew 2-2 with Slovan Liberec at the weekend, although Jan Kuchta could be given a start having come on to net the late equaliser which rescued a point.
Aberdeen have nothing riding on this and face a Scottish Premiership trip to Parkhead on Sunday to meet champions Celtic.
But boss Jimmy Thelin will want to maintain the momentum of Sunday’s win over Kilmarnock and will also be desperate to end the European season with at least one victory.
Therefore he may not make too many alterations, although Marko Lazetic and Kenan Bilalovic are among those jockeying for a start. The Swede scored off the bench on Sunday in his first action for three months.

Sparta Prague vs Aberdeen Odds
Sparta are massive favourites for the win in Prague, with Betfred offering 1/5 for the home victory. Aberdeen are 12/1 to pull off an unlikely success.
The draw is 11/2, with 11/10 for both teams to score. Albion Rrahmani is the 11/4 favourite to net first.
Sparta Prague vs Aberdeen Stats
- Sparta have achieved the highest xG in 4 of their 5 Conference League matches, and beat Legia Warsaw 1-0 in the other
- Aberdeen have scored just 3 and conceded 11 in Europe this season, with Dimitar Mitov making 4 saves to keep the score down against Strasbourg last Thursday
- Albion Rrahmani has taken 13 shots at goal in 300 minutes in the league phase of this competition (1 every 23 minutes)
Handicap +2: Sparta Prague -2 @ 7/5
There has been all sorts of conjecture about the performances of Scottish teams in Europe this season, and the Dons’ poor showing in the Conference League has been a constant source of disappointment.
They head to Prague on Thursday with no hope of progressing on the continent, and on the face of it they have pretty much no chance of getting anything off Sparta either.
Even if this was a matchday-two fixture, you’d have to back heavily against Aberdeen. And given the carrot dangling in front of Sparta, there surely isn’t any way Thelin will be able to spur his side on to get anything.
So a margin of three or more goals is more than possible, and at 7/5 – implying a 41.7% probability – there seems to be value available here.

Albion Rrahmani to Score Two or More @ 4/1
He might have only netted once so far in the Conference League, but Rrahmani loves to get a shot away and has been far more prolific in the Czech league this term.
The Kosovan front man has 12 goals in total, has been a handful across all competitions, and should be able to cause issues for an Aberdeen defence which has wilted with regularity in Europe.
The Scottish side lost 6-0 to AEK Athens, were done over by the odd goal in five by Shakhtar Donetsk, and might have conceded five or six against Strasbourg last week but for keeper Dimitar Mitov.
So I fancy Rrahmani to prey on a half-interested, under-performing Dons back line and grab a couple of goals at 4/1.
