Crystal Palace continue their quest to see departing manager Oliver Glasner off with some silverware as they host Shakhtar Donetsk at Selhurst Park on Thursday (20:00 BST, TNT Sports 2). The Conference League semi final is poised in their favour, with the London side leading 3-1 from the first leg.

Some soar with the Eagles as we rack up our 9/1, three-legged Crystal Palace vs Shakhtar Donetsk Bet Builder Tips.

Both Teams To Score - Yes

Both sides have found the net in four of Palace’s seven Conference League knockout matches this season. The same is true for four of Shakhtar’s five matches in this stage. The Ukrainian side have played two less than Palace as the Premier League side endured a play-off round.

Shakhtar are also riding a run of four from five league games where both teams scored, including in their last three consecutive outings. Add in the Donetsk desperation at 3-1 down and I can see both sides hitting the net in this one.

Football Odds

Daichi Kamada to assist

The Japan international midfielder is on a red-hot run in the Conference League. Kamada has a goal and three assists in his last four outings in the competition. That includes one of each against Donetsk in the first leg.

This searing vein of form has Kamada sitting joint-second on the assists list for this season’s Conference League. Back the boy to add to that total against a side he cut to ribbons a week ago.

Crystal Palace vs Shakhtar Donetsk Stats

  • Four of Palace's seven Conference League knockout games this season have seen both teams score. The same is true of four of Shakhtar's five knockout outings
  • Daichi Kamada has four assists in this season's Conference League, seeing him placed joint-second in the assists table

Match Result: Crystal Palace to win

A 3-1 lead might feel like the job is done, but I doubt Glasner feels that way. With home advantage and passage into the final still up for grabs, I expect the FA Cup holders to exhibit some ruthlessness as they strive to add just the second major trophy in the club’s history.

Shakhtar will not make it easy, of course. But in a season destabilised by Glasner’s early-doors goodbye announcement, the Conference League has provided an outlet for joy that the Premier League is unable to match. I expect the Eagles to fly through to the final with an impressive Selhurst Park display.
