Chelsea vs Brighton Prediction: Visitors in with a chance

Chelsea will be looking to make it four wins on the bounce when they welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon (15:00).
The Blues followed up their Premier League victories over Bournemouth and West Ham United with a 5-0 hammering of Barrow in the Carabao Cup in midweek. Meanwhile, the Seagulls are one of four teams that are undefeated heading into this weekend's fixtures. Read on for my Chelsea vs Brighton prediction, as well as the latest match odds and team news.
Chelsea vs Brighton Betting Tips
Team News
Enzo Maresca made 11 changes to the team that beat West Ham last weekend for their 5-0 thrashing of Barrow in the Carabao Cup, so further rotation is expected here.
Reece James remains a long-term absentee, as he suffered a setback recently in his recovery from his latest hamstring problem, while Romeo Lavia has missed Chelsea's last six matches in all competitions, also due to a hamstring issue.
The Seagulls are without James Milner, Matt O’Riley and Solly March, while Joao Pedro will need to be assessed after suffering a knock in last weekend’s draw with Nottingham Forest.

Chelsea are favourites a 4/6, giving them an implied win probability of 60%, with the draw available at 3/1 and a Brighton win is currently priced up at 100/30.
Over 2.5 goals can be backed at 1/2 at the time of writing, while nine of Chelsea's Premier League home games last season finished with over 3.5 goals, which is 6/5 to land this weekend.
Double Chance - Draw or Brighton @ 11/10
Chelsea have won their last three games across all competitions, but they've dropped points at home to Manchester City and Crystal Palace already this term and the visiting Seagulls have started the season in excellent fashion.
Fabian Hurzeler’s side are just a point off the Blues in the Premier League table, and their 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest last weekend extended their unbeaten start to the 2024/25 campaign to seven matches.
During this run, Brighton have beaten Everton, Manchester United, Crawley Town, and Wolves and managed to get a draw away at the Emirates against Arsenal.
I think these performances show that the Seagulls can avoid defeat at Stamford Bridge and are well worth backing on the double chance market.

Cole Palmer to score anytime @ 13/10
The Chelsea midfielder has picked up where he left off from last season, scoring twice and recording four assists in five Premier League matches so far this campaign.
Palmer was rested for the midweek cup tie against Barrow so should be raring to go here, and the former Man City man was on the scoresheet against West Ham United last weekend.
In addition, the 22-year-old scored against the Seagulls at the Amex last term, and I think he's worth a punt to score anytime on Saturday at 13/10.
