West Brom vs Millwall Prediction: Albion to put the Lions to the test

Millwall suffered defeat at home to Norwich City on Easter Monday, undoing the hard work they accomplished by beating promotion rivals Middlesbrough on Good Friday. The Lions have a chance to respond as they travel to West Bromwich Albion on Friday (20:00 BST, Sky Sports Football.).
The Baggies are six games unbeaten coming into this clash as they sit four points above the relegation zone. My West Brom vs Millwall predictions can be found below, alongside the latest team news and match odds from Betfred.

Team News
West Brom are missing Mikey Johnston (leg), Jed Wallace (calf), Tammer Bany (thigh), Karlan Grant and Chris Mepham (both hamstring) due to injury.
Interim boss James Morrison may field a similar XI to the one that played out a goalless draw at Blackburn Rovers last time out.
Mihailo Ivanovic might be in contention to start for Millwall following his goal against Norwich.
Ryan Leonard has spent the past five weeks on the sidelines but he is available for Friday's contest. Billy Mitchell sat out of the Norwich defeat with an issue and so he will need to be monitored ahead of the game.
West Brom vs Millwall Predicted Lineups
- West Brom: O'Leary; Imray, Phillips, Campbell, Taylor; Price, Molumby, Diakite, Styles; Maja, Heggebo
- Millwall: Patterson; Crama, Taylor, Cooper, Sturge; Bannan, De Norre; Azeez; Neghli; Coburn, Ivanovic
West Brom are a 5/4 shot to come out on top, and they have won two of their previous four fixtures in the second tier.
Four of their last five league games at The Hawthorns have ended level, with the draw here priced at 23/10 (implied probability of 30.3%).
Millwall have prevailed in five of their past six away trips in the Championship and Betfred are offering 11/5 for the Lions to come away with the three points.
Josh Coburn has scored five goals across his previous six appearances in the league for Millwall, and he is 11/4 to strike on Friday.
West Brom vs Millwall Stats
- Millwall have won 5 of their past 6 away games in the Championship
- West Brom are unbeaten in their last 6 matches in the league
- Both teams have scored in each of Millwall's previous 4 outings in the second tier
Draw No Bet - Millwall @ 5/4
Despite how well Norwich have done since Philippe Clement joined the club, I was still surprised that they were able to go to Millwall and win.
Having put themselves into second after the Boro victory, this was a huge blip for the Lions. They are locked on 72 points with Middlesbrough and Ipswich Town, while the Tractor Boys still have two games in hand.
Millwall have their work cut out for an automatic promotion spot but all they can do now is focus on themselves. Three points seems critical on Friday night but West Brom are not the feeble team of a few months ago.
Six games unbeaten at this level is impressive and they may sense an opportunity against the visitors after seeing what Norwich accomplished on Monday. However, Millwall's away record of late has been impeccable. Five wins and one draw from their previous six road trips puts them in a strong position here.
I'm going to cover them in the draw no bet market because Albion are likely going to be a tough opponent, and four of the Baggies' past five league matches at The Hawthorns have ended level.

Both Teams To Score - Yes @ 5/6
Both teams have scored in each of Millwall's four most recent fixtures in the Championship, so against a revitalised West Brom side, who are fighting to stay in the second tier, I predict that we will see goals at both ends.
This has been a successful bet in three of Albion's last four home games in the league and Millwall's defence may be looking more vulnerable than we have been used to seeing over the past few months.
