Swansea vs Portsmouth Prediction: Swans can secure second success for Matos

Swansea City and Portsmouth are both looking to try and get themselves away from the EFL Championship trapdoor ahead of their Tuesday night meeting at the Swansea.com Stadium (19:45 GMT, live on Sky Sports+). Vitor Matos got his first win as Swans manager over the weekend, while Pompey's trip to Charlton was abandoned amid distressing circumstances at The Valley.
The South Coast side have not lost any of their last three away games against City, but they must arrest some other recent trends to leave South Wales with a positive result. Below are my Swansea vs Portsmouth predictions, supported by all the latest team news and match odds.

Team News
Swansea defender Josh Key sat out the win over Oxford with an illness and may have to settle for a spot on the bench if he has fully recovered following that first clean sheet in 11 at home.
Marko Stamenic and Josh Tymon got the goals in the weekend win, while striker Zan Vipotnik has seven league goals already this season.
John Mousinho will make late assessments with regards to defenders Regan Poole and Josh Knight, but the Pompey boss must do without the services of Thomas Waddingham, Franco Umeh, Connor Ogilvie, Jacob Farrell and Conor Shaughnessy.
Swansea vs Portsmouth Predicted Lineups
- Swansea: Vigouroux; Galbraith, Cabango, Burgess, Tymon; Stamenic, Franco; Ronald, Widell, Eom; Vipotnik

Swansea can be backed at 21/20 to double up after their weekend win over Oxford, while Portsmouth trade at 12/5 for what would be just a second away win in nine attempts in the Championship. The draw is priced at 23/10.
Over 2.5 goals is rated an 11/10 chance, while both teams to find the net is available at 5/6.
Swansea vs Portsmouth Stats
- POR have lost four of their last five away games
- Four of SWA's last six league home games have ended with over 2.5 goals scored
Swansea to win @ 21/20
A 2-0 win over Oxford United was Swansea's first victory in seven league games and lifted them to 20th in the table, three points clear of the relegation places.
It was a first win for new boss Matos after he was lured from second-tier Maritimo in his native Portugal last month.
The 37-year-old is inexperienced in the dugout and is still awaiting news on clearance for his backroom team to join him in Wales, but he says getting a win on the board will help create a buy-in for what he's looking to achieve.
"When you build new ideas with wins, it's 10 times easier because it gives the feeling that you are improving, but it's just one step," he said after the win against Oxford.
A third home win in five attempts will really start to create that belief, and Swansea are fancied to get it against a Pompey side that has lost four of the last five on the road.

Over 2.5 goals @ 11/10
Over 2.5 goals has come up in Portsmouth's last three away games, with 12 goals scored in total.
Meanwhile, four of Swansea's last six Championship home games have ended with over 2.5 goals scored. Saturday's win against Oxford ended a run of eight consecutive league games at the Swansea.com Stadium in which the hosts had conceded at least one goal.
Pompey haven't won away since the opening weekend, but they have scored in five of eight on the road.
Before the 2-0 win over Oxford here, seven of City's previous eight games in league and cup had featured three or more goals, and that trend can be restored here.
