Stoke vs Hull Prediction: Can Potters continue promotion charge?

Stoke City enjoyed a 3-0 win over Charlton Athletic in midweek to move back up to second in the league under Mark Robins. Next up, they host Hull City (12:30, Sky Sports Main Event), with the Tigers losing their last two outings.

Team News
Stoke could be without captain Ben Wilmot as he is being assessed after he was forced off just before half-time in midweek with a hip injury. Robins made four changes for the 3-0 win over Charlton as Steven Nzonzi, Eric Bocat, Tatsuki Seko and Robert Bozenik were brought back into the team.
On a positive note, both Bosun Lawal and Sam Gallagher came off the bench as they returned from injuries. It will be interesting to see whether Bozenik continues up front, or whether Divin Mubama comes back in, with Sorba Thomas and Million Manhoef set to continue their good work out wide.
Hull lost at home to Ipswich in midweek but manager Sergej Jakirovic could be boosted by the return of Matt Crooks and John Lundstram. Crooks missed the midweek defeat through suspension while Lundstram has been out since October 4.
Oli McBurnie is close to a return but Enis Destan could be brought in up top in place of Kyle Joseph, while Mohamed Belloumi may also be handed a start out wide.

Stoke vs Hull Stats
- Stoke have won five of their eight home games this season
- Hull have lost two on the spin
- Sorba Thomas has scored six goals and got six assists
Stoke to win @ 7/10
A short price, but more than backable in my opinion. Stoke are a strong Championship team this season and have won five of their eight league games on home soil so far. They bounced back from two defeats in a row with that win over the Addicks and that is the third time in five games that Stoke had scored three or more.
They’ve also kept seven clean sheets this term, and a solid defence is carrying them towards an unlikely promotion charge. Hull’s xG numbers leave me concerned that they are about to slide down the table, and two defeats on the spin make that clear as well. I think Stoke should claim another three points.

Sorba Thomas to score and assist a goal @ 10/1
Thomas has been absolutely incredible since joining Stoke, and this season he has already racked up six goals and six assists. He got two goals from improbable situations in midweek, but he is just a constant threat for the Potters.
He takes their set pieces which means he is always good for an assist, in fact, only Ryan Giles has got more assists than him in the Championship this season. Against a poor Hull outfit that look to be losing their way, I think backing him to get a goal and assist provides great value.
