The Sportsman Untitled is back with another episode for you during this international break, as host Simon Lillibury is joined by Gab Sutton and Conor McGiligan for a manager special.

There’s been our first sacking of the season and unsurprisingly it has come at Watford, where Paulo Pezzolano has been replaced by the returning Javi Gracia. This is the first talking point of the show, as the trio have key discussions about the men in the dugout.

The Championship Outright Winners market has seen a no changes since last week, which makes sense given we haven't seen a ball kicked during the international break. Coventry City remain the early front-runners, ahead of Ipswich Town, who have won three of their last four and look to be gaining momentum.

Today's Football Fixtures

This episode is all about the managers and the focus turns to Watford and the decision to sack Pezzolano after he picked up seven points in his last three matches. Watford have now had 22 managers since 2012 and Gracia returns to the club that he led to the FA Cup final in 2019. He's a popular figure, and they have a talented squad with the likes of Kwadwo Baah, Nestory Irankunda and Imran Louza and getting the best out of that trio, along with Giorgi Chakvetadze will be his number one aim. They aren't that far off a play-off place, so if he gets things right, they could finish in the top six.

Elsewhere, former Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny Rohl has been hotly linked with the vacant Rangers job, after the sacking of Russell Martin. Rangers fans don't seem that keen to go back to the Championship for their new boss, but after Steven Gerrard reportedly turned them down, the trio discuss the possibility of Rohl taking over at Ibrox. Spoiler - they are all VERY positive about that proposition.

Championship Odds

There's some questions and answers around current Championship managers as well, including whether Frank Lampard would be a candidate to be the next England manager should Thomas Tuchel fail to win the World Cup. Gab and Conor discuss which Championship managers have impressed them so far, and which need to improve quickly after the international break otherwise they are at risk of losing their jobs.
