Southampton vs Leicester Prediction: Saints offer value to continue winning run

Two recently relegated Premier League teams meet on Tuesday night in the Championship as Southampton host Leicester City (20:00, Sky Sports Main Event). The Saints have found form under Tonda Eckert, winning their last three games, while Leicester have won back-to-back matches by two goals to one.
Below you can find my Southampton vs Leicester predictions as I look to land a winner or two.

Team News
Southampton are likely to name the same XI as they did in the win over Charlton, given they scored five goals in a frightening first half. Adam Armstrong led the front three alongside Finn Azaz and Leo Scienza, with Ryan Manning and Tom Fellows operating as attacking wing-backs.
Four goals in nine first-half minutes showed just how lethal they can be, with academy product Cam Bragg featuring in midfield alongside Caspar Jander, who also found the net. They should both start in the middle, leaving Flynn Downes on the bench.
Leicester beat Stoke 2-1 and Marti Cifuentes saw his side pick up six yellows in the process. Fortunately, nobody is suspended for this game so expect Patson Daka and Stephy Mavididi to start again after their goals, with Abdul Fatawu and Jordan James likely to be deployed in the front four.
Boubakary Soumare may start ahead of Oliver Skipp in midfield and partner Harry Winks, with Jannik Vestergaard set to start against his former club alongside Wout Faes in defence.
Southampton vs Leicester Predicted Lineups
- Southampton - Bazunu; Harwood-Bellis, Wood, Stephens; Fellows, Bragg, Jander, Manning; Azaz, Scienza; Armstrong
- Leicester - Begovic; Pereira, Faes, Vestergaard, Thomas; Winks, Soumare; Fatawu, James, Mavididi; Daka
Southampton are the favourites to win this game, priced at 19/20 to take all three points. That gives them an implied win probability of 51%, while a draw can be backed at 23/10. If you fancy the Foxes, Cifuentes’ men can be backed at 12/5, while over 2.5 goals is listed at 4/5.
There are a number of Price Boosts and Bet Builders available on the link above, BTTS is 4/6 and Armstrong is 4/1 to score first.
Southampton vs Leicester Stats
- Southampton have won their last three games on the bounce
- Leicester haven't kept a clean sheet in their last 10 games
Price Boost - Southampton to win both halves @ 6/1
I was going to back Saints to win this game, but this Price Boost has caught my eye and I’m fully on board with the Eckert turnaround. We all thought Southampton would fly at the start of the season based upon the sheer individual quality of their squad, as they added the likes of Azaz and Fellows to their relegation pack.
It’s taken a while, and Will Still has been and gone, but now they are absolutely flying. They looked so strong in that opening period against Charlton and look to have turned a corner in terms of creativity. They just needed some confidence. Meanwhile, Leicester have won back-to-back games but I’m just not convinced by them, and they haven’t kept a clean sheet in their last 10 outings. Big home win on the cards.

Adam Armstrong to score anytime @ 6/4
The reliable goalscorer has found his feet over the last few weeks, scoring two goals in his last two outings. He has captained the club at times this season, and Eckert looks to be a big fan of his, and with Cameron Archer out injured, he is guaranteed to lead the line.
I like the form Azaz is in, and Scienza is a top player, but I just think Armstrong remains the most likely goalscorer. Let’s hope he can add to the six goals he has registered so far in the 2025/26 Championship season.
