Preston vs Norwich Prediction: Canaries face a tough trip to Deepdale

Preston North End welcome Norwich City to Deepdale on Tuesday (19:45, Sky Sports+), looking to build on their victory over Coventry City at the weekend. Paul Heckingbottom's side are unbeaten in their last three and they have picked up two wins along the way.
The Canaries have won three of their last five but were held to a draw at Stoke last time out when they came up against their former first-team coach Narcis Pelach. Read on for my Preston vs Norwich prediction, including match odds and team news.
Preston vs Norwich Betting Tips
Preston are 2/1 to win this match, which gives them a theoretical chance of 33.3%. Norwich are priced at 7/5 to take the three points, giving them an implied probability of 41.7%. The draw is on offer at 9/4 (30.8%).
Both teams to score is available at 8/11 and over 2.5 goals can be backed at 10/11.
Norwich's Borja Sainz is the joint-leading marksman in the division with seven goals so far, and he is 6/1 to open the scoring, or 2/1 to score anytime on Tuesday night.
Josh Sargent has scored four for the Canaries, and he is 15/8 to find the back of the net at any stage during this contest.
Team News
Preston striker Milutin Osmajic will continue to serve his lengthy ban for biting Blackburn Rovers' Owen Beck last month. Fellow striker Will Keane is sidelined until next month, as is defender Patrick Bauer.
With Osmajic and Keane out, Emil Rees Jacobsen should start up top, hoping to rediscover his confidence out on the pitch.
Attacker Ched Evans could return into action in the next few weeks.
Heckingbottom is likely to go with Jordan Storey and Liam Lindsay in the heart of defence, while Ryan Ledson and Alistair McCann should link-up in the middle of the park.
The visitors have a few injuries of their own to contend with as Angus Gunn, Ashley Barnes, Onel Hernandez and Christian Fassnacht are all sidelined.
Liam Gibbs and Jacob Lungi Sorensen are not expected back until later this month. Marcelino Nunez was forced off at Stoke last time out with a problem, so he looks to be the latest member in the medical bay and so he too is a doubt to feature in Lancashire.
Draw or Norwich and both teams to score @ 13/10
Norwich have been improving massively in the last few weeks under Johannes Hoff Thorup and things have been clicking for them. It still feels like there is a way to go before they really hit their stride, but they are consistently picking up results.
They had a tough match at Stoke at the weekend, and I think they will face another difficult challenge at Deepdale on Tuesday. Preston have been strong at home since Heckingbottom came in, having gone unbeaten in all four matches that he has taken charge of in all competitions.
They were winners here against Coventry on Saturday to keep their own unbeaten run going, so Norwich will have to be at their very best to defeat them. That is why I haven't been overly confident in backing the Canaries to win, so I have given myself some insurance too.
We know that if things are clicking in the final third with the likes of Sainz, Sargent and Ante Crmac, then they can threaten Heckingbottom's unbeaten home record, but the Lilywhites have been a tough nut to crack with him at the helm, which makes me think we could see a stalemate between these two sides.
I have added both teams to score, which may seem surprising because it hasn't landed in a home game for Preston this term, but I think the Canaries can become the first team to make that happen.
Norwich have seen both teams find the back of the net in two of their five matches on the road this season, including their latest appearance at the weekend. I think they will be able to channel that into their performance at Deepdale and cause some real problems for a team who have been very strong when playing at home.

Borja Sainz anytime goalscorer @ 2/1
Sainz has been one of the standout players in the second tier so far this season, and I fancy him to play a starring role for the visitors once again on Tuesday night.
He has seven goals already in the league and he looks to be getting better each week. Five of his goals have come in as many league outings and after blanking at the weekend, he will want to return with a bang against Preston.
Sainz is an exciting player who can make things happen but by adding more goals to this game, he is also able to find and exploit place in dangerous areas in and around the box to profit when players such as Sargent are the ones taking control of creative duties.
Therefore, I fancy him to grab his eighth goal of the campaign in this match.
