Team News

Matt Bloomfield may recall Jamie Donley to his starting XI after seeing the Tottenham man score for Northern Ireland during the international break. Will Lankshear scored against Hull earlier in the season and should lead the line, but key midfielders Brian De Keersmaecker and Tyler Goodrham are likely to miss out again.

Hull still have a large injury list, featuring the likes of Ryan Giles, Matty Jacob, Akin Famewo, Darko Gyabi and Regan Slater - with the latter ruled out for the season. Charlie Hughes is back after serving his suspension while Paddy McNair and Semi Ajayi will both be assessed after featuring during the international break.

Football Odds

Oxford vs Hull Lineups

  • Oxford - Cumming; Long, Helik, Brown, Currie; Konak, Brannagan; Mills, Donley, Peart-Harris; Lankshear
  • Hull City - Pandur; Hughes, Egan, McNair; Drameh, Hadziahmetovic, Crooks, Millar; Gelhardt, Koumas; McBurnie

Oxford vs Hull Odds

Oxford are the favourites to win this one at 6/4, which may come as a surprise given the current table. Hull are priced at 9/5 to take the points, while a draw is 23/10 and over 2.5 goals is 11/10.

BTTS is 4/5 while Mark Harris and Will Lankshear are the favourites to score first at 11/2.

Oxford vs Hull Stats

  • Oxford have picked up 10 points from their last 5 games
  • Hull have scored eight headers this season

Draw @ 23/10

I can’t really separate these two right now, which is massive credit to the recent work Bloomfield has done at Oxford. The U’s have looked strong in recent weeks, and would have made it four wins on the bounce had they not conceded a late penalty against Charlton.

The loss against an in-form Southampton side prior to the international break didn’t come as a surprise, but they will hope another home game can deliver maximum points. They’ve won their last two in front of their own fans, but Hull have beaten Wrexham and Portsmouth on the road recently and continue to defy their critics.

I can see this one ending in a draw, which wouldn’t be a bad result for either side.

Headed goal - Yes @ 19/10

Oxford have been a wonderful physical outfit lately - scoring plenty of goals from set pieces, and I think that could come into play again here, with Michael Helik and Ciaron Brown big threats when they come up from the back. Meanwhile, Hull have scored eight headers this season and now with both Matt Crooks and Oli McBurnie in the team, certainly pose a threat in the air in the final third.

I like this market for there to be a headed goal for either side on Friday, at a reasonable price to boot.
