Norwich vs Hull Prediction: Canaries can end Walter’s winning run

Both Norwich City and Hull City are in a good moment right now. They meet at Carrow Road on Saturday (12:30, Sky Sports+), as the Tigers look to break into the top-six and make it four wins in a row.
Norwich meanwhile earned a point at home to Leeds in midweek and have also perked up of late, picking up seven points in their last three outings. It means both sides will come into this one full of confidence with high hopes of three points. Below you can find my Norwich vs Hull prediction, featuring team news and betting tips.
Team News
Anis Ben Slimane came into Norwich’s midfield to provide more solidity against Leeds, but I’d expect Johannes Hoff Thorup to revert to the more attacking system of 4-2-3-1 by bringing Oscar Schwartau back into the number 10 role. After expending a lot of energy in that midweek draw, Jack Stacey may be given a start, but star men Josh Sargent and Borja Sainz will be expected to compete the full 90 once again.
For Hull, manager Tim Walter has plenty of options to choose from, but Liam Millar is expected to start after finding the net in midweek. Chris Bedia also scored at QPR and will lead the line but Steven Alzate, on loan from Brighton, is still waiting for some serious gametime at the MKM. Ryan Giles could start to bring more balance on the left, but Cody Drameh got a goal from that position at Loftus Road.
Norwich are the favourites to win this one at 1/1, while Hull are available at 13/5. A draw is also priced at 13/5, over 2.5 goals is 8/11 and BTTS is 8/13.
Norwich to win and BTTS @ 13/5
Now I’ve been impressed with Hull’s recent resurgence. They’ve won their last three in a row and Walter has got them playing some fantastic attacking football, scoring 10 goals in those three wins. I think the away side will find the net, but I’m not backing them to make it four in a row at Carrow Road.
I think they’ve played three relatively poor sides in recent weeks, beating Stoke, Cardiff and QPR on this winning run. Norwich are a step up on that trio and have also been in fine form of late. With Sainz and Sargent amongst the goals, they’ve beaten Watford and Derby and took a point from Leeds.
They are top-six contenders in my mind, and I think they will get a statement win at lunchtime on Saturday.

Josh Sargent to score first @ 9/2
Hull haven’t kept a clean sheet in their last five matches and although they have shown attacking intent, I think they could concede a decent number of goals in this one. My second choice is to back Norwich’s striker Sargent to find the net first.
He got the opener against Leeds from the penalty spot and remains one of the deadliest forwards at this level. He’s only got three so far this term with Sainz taking on the goalscoring responsibility for the Canaries, but I think that will soon balance out and the American hitman will head towards the top of the goalscoring charts. I’m happy to back him to score first against a leaky Hull defence.
