Norwich vs Blackburn Prediction: Canaries on course for another success

Championship strugglers Norwich and Blackburn are set to meet at Carrow Road on Saturday (12:31 KO, live on Sky Sports+) with both in need of the points to try and steer away from the relegation zone.

Blackburn sacked Valerien Ismael on Monday and got a win over basement boys Sheffield Wednesday in midweek, while Norwich have been in fine scoring fettle across recent weeks and could have too much for Rovers. Team News

Norwich could hand a debut to striker Mohamed Toure, signed for £2.6m late in the January window, with Josh Sargent expected to remain out of the team after falling out with boss Philippe Clement in recent weeks.

Ali Ahmed, who has scored two goals and provided two assists in his first four appearances for the club, will aim to flourish again on the wing.

Interim boss Damien Johnson saw his Rovers side edge out Sheffield Wednesday in midweek. Defenders Lewis Miller and fit-again Hayden Carter, along with midfielders Dion de Neve and Moussa Baradji, were recalled to the starting XI.

Andri Gudjohnsen could make his first start in seven weeks after coming off the bench in the last two games.

Norwich are favourites at 19/20 to gather all three points at Carrow Road. Blackburn are 3/1 for a first away league win since November, while the draw is priced at 12/5.

The Canaries can get the win but a single-goal contest looks unlikely. Before the defeat at title contenders Middlesbrough, Clement's Canaries had won four games on the bounce in league and cup, scoring 14 times.

They scored five at West Brom and came from behind to defeat table toppers Coventry City at Carrow Road.

Norwich have scored two or more goals in their five most recent wins and can continue that trend now. Clement's side have also scored a goal in each half in three of their last four wins in league and cup.

Anis Ben Slimane to score anytime @ 5/2

January signing Ali Ahmed has two goals and two assists in his first four appearances for Norwich but it has also been a hot spell for Anis Ben Slimane.

The Tunisian playmaker went into last weekend's game at Middlesbrough having scored three and set up three in four games since regaining his spot in the starting XI.

The 24-year-old is thriving and it was no shock that Norwich finally moved to make his switch from Sheffield United a permanent one.
