Team News
Zak Sturge’s facial injury is just the latest injury to add to Millwall’s woes in the treatment room.
The former Chelsea defender was withdrawn against Portsmouth on Saturday and is missing under concussion rules.
Joe Bryan came on for Sturge at Fratton Park but was then sent off in the 3-1 defeat so he is also ruled out on Wednesday night.
Derek Mazou-Sacko also came off on Saturday and misses out with a knee injury, joining Massimo Luongo, Steven Benda, Lukas Jensen, Will Smallbone and Danny McNamara on the sidelines.
The visitors are expected to be without Dominic Iorfa after he left the field early on Sunday with a back issue, which means new free-agent signing Liam Cooper could be fast-tracked into the starting lineup.
Henrik Pedersen remains shorn of Pierce Charles, Di’Shon Bernard, Nathaniel Chalobah, Olaf Kobacki, Gui Siqueira, Ernie Weaver, Bruno Fernandes and George Brown. Options are light on the ground for the Danish head coach.
Millwall vs Sheffield Wednesday Predicted Lineups
- Millwall: Crocombe; Harding, Crama, Taylor, Leonard; Kelly, De Norre; Ballo, Langstaff, Doughty; Ivanovic
- Sheff Wed: Horvath; Palmer, Cooper, M Lowe; Fusire, Valery, Bannan, Amass; J Lowe, Cadamarteri, Ingelsson
Millwall vs Sheffield Wednesday Odds
No prizes for guessing the favourites. Millwall are 4/6 to get back to winning ways, with Wednesday 18/5 to add to their single win so far this season at Portsmouth back in September.
You can get 5/2 about the draw, while Betfred have a couple of price boosts available.
Mihailo Ivanovic is 11/2 from 9/2 to bag the first goal, while it’s 14/1 from 12/1 for both teams to score in each half.
Millwall vs Sheffield Wednesday Stats
- Wednesday have both the worst attack and the worst defence in the Championship this season
- Millwall are 15th in the league for goals, with 18, but have kept five clean sheets this term
- The Lions have three sizeable wins in the last five meetings (4-1, 4-0 and 3-0)
Handicap +1: Millwall -1 @ 15/8
Whatever Millwall’s struggles over the past four games, this is exactly the kind of match they would hand-pick to get back to winning ways.
Wednesday’s lack of squad depth is really starting to show of late, and Sunday’s 3-0 Steel City Derby defeat underlined the depth of their issues as they go through the process of administration.
Even a team struggling for goals should be ok against the Owls, with Sheffield United’s win at the weekend evidence of that. The Blades arrived at Hillsborough with the worst attack in the Championship and left with a healthy win.

Mihailo Ivanovic first goalscorer @ 11/2 (Price Boost from 9/2)
As for HOW they score those goals, striker Ivanovic looks a great bet to find the net for the Lions.
With Betfred boosting his price by a whole point, there’s real value in backing Millwall’s top scorer to open their account for the night.
The 11/2 on offer gives this one an implied 15.4% probability.
