After their FA Cup dreams were shattered on Saturday against Crystal Palace, Millwall now turn their attention back to the Championship. They welcome Bristol City to The Den on Tuesday (19:45). The Lions are unbeaten in their last three league appearances heading into this clash.

Bristol City are in a similar vein of form but they have not won an away game since November 9 but their last outing saw them defeat Middlesbrough 2-1 at Ashton Gate. Read on for my Millwall vs Bristol City predictions, including the latest match odds and team news.

Millwall vs Bristol City Odds

Millwall have won one of their past three home games in the second tier but they are 13/8 to come away with the three points here, which is not particularly enticing.

Two of their previous three Championship outings have ended in a draw, while Bristol City's last three away trips have ended in a stalemate. The draw is priced at 21/10, which has an implied probability of 32.3%.

The Robins have not won on their travels since November but they have won two of their three latest matches coming into this contest. They are 15/8 to prevail at The Den.

Each of the visitors' last three away games in the league have produced goals at both ends and BTTS is marketed at 11/10 (47.6%) for this clash.

Team News

Millwall are going to be without the services of forwards Macaulay Langstaff and Calum Scanlon so Mikhailo Ivanovic should lead the line for the Lions. Femi Azeez, Luke Cundle and Camiel Neghli are the likely players to support the front man.

Lukas Jensen will return between the sticks for the hosts but understudy Liam Roberts faces at least a three-game ban for his reckless challenge on Jean-Philippe Mateta at the weekend.

Danny McNamara and Ryan Leonard are both out injured, so Tristan Crama and Joe Bryan are set to operate as the full-backs, with Japhet Tanganga and Jake Cooper manning the centre of defence.

Bristol City wing-backs Ayman Benarous and Ross McCrorie are set to miss out on Tuesday's clash due to hamstring issues. As such, Mark Sykes and Haydon Roberts are in line to retain their places having impressed in the victory over Middlesbrough.

Luke McNally is also missing for the Robins, leaving George Tanner, Rob Dickie and Zak Vyner to feature as a back three for Liam Manning's side.

Anis Mehmeti is Bristol City's top scorer in the Championship with 11 goals, and he will continue in attack, likely aided by Scott Twine behind forward Sinclair Armstrong.

Draw @ 21/10

Millwall are a tough team to face at The Den and a draw here is considered a good result for most teams. The Lions have already beaten league leaders Leeds United and promotion-chasing Burnley here, so they cannot be underestimated.

However, neither can Bristol City. They are ninth in the table and find themselves just three points outside the play-offs. There are several teams in contention for a late dash into the top six and the Robins are one of them.

Both teams are in decent form coming into this and while I would give the visitors the edge in terms of individual quality, I think a point is the best they can hope for at Millwall.

The Lions may have suffered six defeats here this season but it is down to Bristol City failing to win in any of their past nine away clashes in the second tier that I think a stalemate seems the sensible selection for punters.

Both teams to score @ 11/10

It could be an entertaining draw, though, as I am picking BTTS for my second selection. Nine of Bristol City's 17 away trips in the Championship this term have produced goals at both ends, including each of their last three.

This has also been a successful bet in four of Millwall's previous five appearances in the league, including two at The Den. The Lions have also scored in eight consecutive matches in the second tier, so I think they can cause problems for a Bristol City side that tend to have issues when they go out on the road.
