Ipswich vs Norwich Betting Tips
*odds correct at time of publication
Ipswich are 4/7 to break Norwich’s stronghold on the East Anglian derby, while the visitors are 9/2 and the draw is available at 16/5. Over 2.5 goals is a 4/6 chance and both teams to score is 8/11.
Team News
Harry Clarke and Cameron Humphreys are back from injury, but Town remain without long-term absentees Wes Burns and Conor Townsend.
Lucien Mahovo is fit to return, but Norwich are sweating on the fitness of Captain Kenny McLean who was forced off against West Brom in midweek.
Ipswich to win & over 2.5 goals @ 5/4
It has been 16 years and 14 games against Norwich since Ipswich last tasted success in the East Anglian derby, but the time looks right for Kieran McKenna’s men to snap that streak.
Town were sent off as 4-1 favorites for the Championship, but the Suffolk side made an inauspicious start to their second-tier campaign.
However, Ipswich looked pretty good when drawing 1-1 at Bristol City on Tuesday, and prior to that stalemate, the Tractor Boys had beaten Portsmouth 2-1 and Sheffield United 5-0 at Portman Road.
Those results suggest that McKenna’s men are coming good and it’s no surprise that Ipswich have taken a little while to get up to speed given the summer turnover of players.
Norwich have gone four Championship matches without a win and that includes home defeats to Wrexham and West Brom. Wednesday’s 1-0 defeat to the Baggies was a little unfortunate, but it's difficult to see the Canaries taking anything at Portman Road.
Liam Manning’s men have kept only one clean sheet in ten all-competition matches this term and backing an Ipswich victory and over 2.5 goals rates the play in the East Anglia derby.

George Hirst to score first @ 4/1
Ipswich have plenty of attacking options and George Hirst could be the most potent threat. The 26-year-old found the net in recent Portman Road wins over Sheffield United and Portsmouth, but the striker started from the bench at Bristol City in midweek.
That should see a return to the starting line-up for Hirst, who should be able to punish a Norwich side who have kept only one clean sheet this season.
