Championship rivals Hull City and Leicester City are set for battle as both seek to maintain relatively promising starts to the season at the MKM Stadium on Tuesday (19:45 BST, Sky Sports+). The Foxes have only lost one of their 10 games in the Championship but five draws in the last six is sure to be a worry for boss Marti Cifuentes.

Hull meanwhile have got their groove on after a slow beginning and have lost just once in their last six games. Read on for my Hull vs Leicester predictions, featuring team news and match odds.

Team News

John Lundstram is among the list of absentees for Hull, joining the likes of Mohamed Belloumi, Eliot Matazo and Brandon Williams on the missing list.

Leicester are without long-term absentee Harry Souttar and youngster Ben Nelson, while forward Stephy Mavididi missed the games against Swansea and Portsmouth either side of the international break and remains a big doubt.

Hull vs Leicester Odds

The home side are outsiders at 21/10 to gain all three points, with the draw chalked up at 23/10 and visiting Leicester ranked 13/10 to get their fifth league win of the season at the 11th attempt.

Both teams to score can be backed at odds of 8/11, while over 2.5 goals is a 10/11 chance on Humberside.

Hull vs Leicester Stats

  • There have been two or more goals in nine of Leicester's 11 league and cup fixtures this term.
  • Hull are the second-highest scoring team in the Championship with 17 goals in 10 games.
  • Only basement boys Sheffield Wednesday (22) have conceded more times than Hull (18).

Draw @ 23/10

The stalemate is the outsider of three outcomes in the match betting and it looks the best value.

Leicester have only lost one of their 10 league games but they have drawn five times already, including five of their last six.

Hull are gaining momentum after a shaky start and come into this with just one loss in their last six.

These sides were last opposing Championship sides in 2023/24, when Hull took four points from six on offer.

The Foxes are just missing a proper killer instinct and with Hull's ability to both score and concede in equal measure, an entertaining share of the spoils could be on the cards.

Over 2.5 goals @ 10/11

This has a decent chance of being an entertaining contest at the MKM Stadium. Hull have seen their 10 Championship games average 3.5 goals, with five of their last seven yielding four or more goals.

Only leaders Coventry entered this round of games having scored more goals but, at the other end, only basement dwellers Sheffield Wednesday have picked the ball from their own net more than the Tigers.

Both teams have scored in four of Leicester's five games on the road. Hull edged a five-goal thriller at Birmingham City on Saturday and the entertainment value should remain high now.
