Derby defender Max Johnston has been ruled out for up to eight weeks after suffering a serious hamstring injury in the win over Queens Park Rangers last month.

Johnston is joined by Curtis Nelson and Lewis Travis in the treatment room, while Tuesday’s game looks set to come slightly too soon for Owen Beck.

Hull have been dealing with a host of injuries of late, with Oli McBurnie, Liam Millar, Kasey Palmer, John Lundstram, Akin Famewo, Mohamed Belloumi and Eliot Matazo all set to miss the trip to the East Midlands this week.

Both these sides find themselves in good form going into this one, with Derby losing just one of their last seven games in the Championship, while Hull are unbeaten in their last six games.

Derby have been held to draws in two of their last four games at Pride Park and another stalemate might well be on the cards on Tuesday.

The last time these sides faced off in Derby was last season in the Championship, with the Rams and the Tigers playing out a 1-1 draw.

A similar scoreline looks to be on the cards here and there’s value to be had at 16/5 for a scoring draw in this one.
