Derby have made a decent start to life back in the Championship and home victories over Middlesbrough and Bristol City mean they have won their last nine games at Pride Park.

Cardiff defender Jesper Daland faces a late test on his ankle, but skipper Aaron Ramsey is likely to miss out with the hamstring injury he picked up playing for Wales.

Derby are 11/8 to take three points on Saturday while Cardiff are 2/1 to return to south Wales having gained a win and the draw can be backed at 23/10.

Derby have made a steady start to the Championship season after gaining promotion and their home form has been particularly impressive, which means Cardiff could struggle at Pride Park.

The Bluebirds are desperate for a first win of the campaign, but they have already been thumped 5-0 at Burnley while they scored their only goal of the campaign in a 1-1 draw with fierce rivals Swansea.

Having finished last season with two defeats, they need to get going, but MIddlesbrough and Bristol City have already lost when visiting the Rams and Paul Warne’s side equipped themselves well in defeats away at Blackburn and Watford.

The new boys should have too much for the winless Welsh outfit, who already look like they are facing a long season in the second tier.

Kayden Jackson to score, under 1.5 Cardiff goals and under 5.5 Cardiff corners @ 7/1

Kayden Jackson has scored in all three of Derby’s home matches this season and can be backed to continue that record against the Bluebirds, who have notched just once in their four games so far this term.

It seems unlikely that the visitors will score more than once against a team who have kept six successive league clean sheets at home and they may not be able to force many corners either.

Erol Bulut’s side have forced more than five corners in just one of their last 24 league games, so it would be a surprise if they claimed that many against the Rams.
