The Championship returns this weekend and we’ve got a bumper day of action as the top two meet before the international break.

It all kicks off tonight with Watford vs Bristol City and you can find my Championship Predictions down below, after Conor closed the gap on Nick in midweek.

Simon's Championship Predictions - Gameweek 15

  • Watford 2-0 Bristol City (20:00, Sky Sports Main Event) @ 10/1
  • Blackburn Rovers 1-1 Derby County (12:30, Sky Sports Main Event) @ 11/2
  • Hull City 2-1 Portsmouth (12:30, Sky Sports+) @ 15/2
  • Millwall 0-0 Preston (12:30, Sky Sports+) @ 7/1
  • Swansea City 1-3 Ipswich Town (15:00) @ 16/1
  • Stoke City 1-1 Coventry City (15:00) @ 11/2
  • West Brom 0-0 Oxford United (15:00) @ 8/1
  • Middlesbrough 1-2 Birmingham City (15:00) @ 9/1
  • Norwich City 0-2 Leicester City (15:00) @ 11/1
  • Sheffied United 2-1 QPR (15:00) @ 15/2

  • Wrexham 1-1 Charlton Atheltic (15:00) @ 5/1

Odds correct at the time of publication

Watford 2-0 Bristol City (20:00, Sky Sports Main Event) @ 10/1

Watford are flying right now, led by their star midfielder Imran Louza. They smashed Boro last weekend, got a decent point at Ipswich and should bag another win against a Bristol City outfit that have lost their last two.

Nick: 2-1

Conor: 3-1

Blackburn Rovers 1-1 Derby County (12:30, Sky Sports Main Event) @ 11/2

John Eustace returns to Ewood Park and he’s not a popular man in Lancashire having ditched play-off chasing Blackburn for Derby County last season. Both clubs had a difficult start to the new campaign but have found form of late, with Derby winning four in a row and Blackburn three on the bounce heading into this fixture. I’ll stay firmly on the fence and back a 1-1 draw.

Nick: 1-1

Conor: 1-1

Hull City 2-0 Portsmouth (12:30, Sky Sports+) @ 15/2

Hull City have been one of the surprise packages of the season so far, as they currently sit eighth, and they will target another three points as they host Portsmouth. John Mousinho’s team haven’t scored in their last three outings, and they haven’t won in their last five, so I’ll back a home win to nil.

Nick: 2-1

Conor: 2-1

Millwall 0-0 Preston (12:30, Sky Sports+) @ 7/1

It’s fourth vs fifth in the Championship on Saturday lunchtime as Millwall host a PNE outfit that have now won their last three games. The Lions were hammered 4-0 by Birmingham in midweek and will want a response, but Paul Heckingbottom knows how to edge close games. I’m going to back a rare stalemate in this one.

Nick: 1-0

Conor: 1-1

Swansea City 1-3 Ipswich Town (15:00) @ 16/1

I’m still confident that Ipswich will get promoted this season but they really need to start motoring as we enter the winter months. They drew at home to Watford last time out and have one of the worst away records in the league, but they did find a big away win at QPR last time out. I’m expecting something similar in the capital.

Nick: 1-2

Conor: 1-2

Stoke City 1-1 Coventry City (15:00) @ 11/2

A top of the table clash, who would have thought it? Stoke are flying under Mark Robins, who a year ago today was sacked by the Sky Blues. The Potters have bagged three wins out of three and have now scored eight goals in their last two outings, while the Sky Blues are top of the tree having scored 39 goals in 14 games. This is absolutely massive and once again I’m going for a draw.

Nick: 1-3

Conor: 1-2

West Brom 0-0 Oxford United (15:00) @ 8/1

West Brom are miserable right now under Ryan Mason having lost their last three games without scoring. Oxford got beaten by Stoke City in midweek and look to be in for a tough season, so I’ll back another stalemate here.

Nick: 1-1

Conor: 1-0

Middlesbrough 1-2 Birmingham City (15:00) @ 9/1

Birmingham are cooking. Two 4-0 wins on the bounce and Chris Davies has finally found his best team. I’m going for three on the spin here against a Boro outfit that are at risk of losing Rob Edwards to Wolves. Unsettling times at the Riverside.

Nick: 2-1

Conor: 1-3

Norwich City 0-2 Leicester City (15:00) @ 11/1

Norwich have lost every single home game this season. Although they got a point against Sheffield Wednesday, they are in massive trouble. Leicester aren’t great, but should be able to pile on the misery.

Nick: 1-3

Conor: 0-2

Norwich City vs Leicester City - Correct Score
Leicester City 0-2

Sheffied United 2-1 QPR (15:00) @ 15/2

The Blades are also in a spot of bother and lost to league leaders Coventry in midweek. However, a home game against QPR is winnable, given the R’s have lost three on the bounce. Narrow home win expected and goals at both ends.

Nick: 2-1

Conor: 2-1

Southampton 3-0 Sheffield Wednesday (15:00) @ 17/2

Sheffield Wednesday are a club reborn off the pitch as they search for a new owner and on the pitch they earned a point at home to West Brom in midweek. However, these three-game weeks stretch this small squad and I think they will come undone against Southampton, who beat QPR in the first game after Will Still’s departure.

Nick: Saints 2-0 Sheff Weds

Conor: 2-1

Wrexham 1-1 Charlton Atheltic (15:00) @ 5/1

Nathan Jones. What a man. His Charlton side are smashing all expectations this season as they sit sixth, while Wrexham are starting to find their feet. The Addicks are unbeaten in five, so I’ll back them for an away point.

Nick: Wrexham 2-2 Charlton

Conor: 1-1
